Asian Dragon Chinese — Restaurant in Lakeport

Good for lunch not dinner. Let me expand on that thought. We love this place and have been there many times even before this last review. A little small but just right for us. Only 2 employees with the husband doing the cooking and the wife handling the rest of the restaurant. Everything we have tried so far has been great. Usually it's lunch after Church but one time we wanted to try dinner. Both good but lunch is all their specials with a vast choices to order from on the fairly large menu. The same type of menu is dinner but not the specials so you have to order each item extra at an extra amount. That dollar value isn't so good for dinner but lunch is way more than expected the other way. Our tummy's are empty when entering and filled to the brim when leaving. The good food also goes with the same in service. The cook even came out one time just to chat. Both are so pleasant making good experiences each time. Teriyaki is always listed on the menu each time we come but never has it been in stock. One of our favorites but I wonder why it is still on their menu. A little thing that gets lost over all their other wonderful selections. Like I said there are 3 Chinese restaurants on the same street not far from each other. Asian has decent Chinese food. It is not the best, but it is perfectly fine. We went there for dinner and the place was close to empty. I know they do a brisk take out and delivery so maybe they are just not ready for customers with questions.

The service fine, quite slow, but I have to assume that was the kitchen. Our server was nice and got our order right the second time. The place is clean and it is comfortable. It is not fancy, so don't expect that. It is older, but again clean.

We liked the food. We tried the egg rolls, the hot and sour soup, chicken fried rice, white rice (which was a tad old) and wong tong soup, which was very good. We also liked the cashew chicken and fried shrimp.

All in all, it was fine for a fast meal, but it won't be our first choice when we return...

This place is fantastic! I'm a security guard from out of town. I was going to head to another location about 20 miles away, but it was closed before my shift ended. I settled on this place over the other one down the road, and was not disappointed.

I ordered their vegetable chow mein, as well as their vegetable deluxe plate, hoping to have leftovers. Instead I ate both plates. I just couldn't help myself, it was that good. Normally I don't like mushrooms, and forgot to ask for them to be omitted from the vegetable deluxe plate, but damn they were delicious. I didn't leave a single one on the plate.
