Stonefire Pizza — Restaurant in Lakeport

Well...definatley not the best pizza experience I've had, certainly not the best I've had in Lakeport. Phoned my order in, and the lady kept hearing me wrong. I do not have an accent and neither did she. I asked if she could hear me numerous times and she said she could..but she didn't 🤨 Ordered the deep dish Stonehouse Combo, and added fresh tomatoes, and was told it would be 20 minutes. Gave them 25. Went to get it and was told it would "be another 15-20⁶, because deep dish takes longer." And I was given a look that said I should have known..🤷🏼‍♀️ Went back, it was done, yay! Oh my gosh, the box was SO heavy! Excitement was there, i could not wait to have a bite! 😋 Opened the box to have a look, WOW! It was fully loaded! Tomatoes were washed out looking, but hey, can't win them all right? Started pulling a piece out, right there in the parkinglot (they even gave me a few paper plates), as the cheese stretched impressively, i thought, boy are they are generous with toppings! Surprising me, was how NOT greasy their deep dish was 🥰 i was not ready for that... Then, at last, the time came, and I took that long awaited first bite.. 😣

Not sure what, but there was something in the red sauce that was way to prominent and took over the whole pie, and under that taste was am aftertaste that came to great me, a taste follfof plain tomato soup taste. And not even Campbell's, some cheap off brand..and it wouldn't let go. No Bueno.

The instant disappointment was so totally unexpected. It was shocking.

A whiplash moment..

I will say, though, that I was impressed enough that I am willing to consider come back another time to try their white sauce.

I love this pizza! The flavor is on point, the crust is perfection, the cook on the pizza is perfectly done! This mushroom & olive pizza is my dream pizza! Lol : ) the sauce is a perfect blend of Italian herbs, spices and seasonings; its not overly seasoned but dances on your taste buds in all the right ways. Tangy, sweet and well balanced in flavor. The cheese ratio is everything you want for awesome cheese pulls and enough to satisfy all your cheesy desires. The veggies are amazing and fresh; good flavor. Now lets talk pizza dough; the flavor is everything I hope for in a pizza dough; tangy, crisp on the bottom but not overly done. It has a chew as any good pizza dough should and perfectly compliments the sauce, cheese and toppings! OMgosh! The best in all the land! Thank you Stone Fire Pizza for all of your pizza...

I ordered a mini with pepperoni and sausage for the second time tonight. The first time I had pepperoni or sausage with almost every bite. It was soooo good. So tonight, I ordered the same. I got five pieces of pepperoni, topped with one piece of sausage each. Im not joking, the sausage was placed on top of the slice of pepperoni. Like it was something on a catering dish, WTH??? If it wasn't for the fact my daddy and I were doing laundry and I was so hungry, I would have asked for my money back. From now on however I will be checking my order before I leave. If I wanted a cheese pizza, I would have ordered a "cheese" pizza!!!! And paid for only cheese, which is really all I got for what I paid for. Not to cool with it this go around to...
