Pogo's Pizza Kelseyville — Restaurant in Lakeport

Recently my husband's sister & hubby came from out of town for a visit. Deciding to go out to lunch, we began thinking of places that are close- but also good food & reasonably priced. I had heard many good things about this newer pizza place that had opened right in town (Kelseyville). But not everyone wanted 🍕 pizza😕 So I googled it! Hahaa The menu looked incredible!! There's such a large selection-just for Pizzas! Then there's a bunch of burgers, sandwiches, salad etc., to choose from! The prices seemed "iffy"..just a tad high..but we gave it a go. It only takes us about 7min to arrive on Main St., Kelseyville. It is located in the other half of the local bar- a historic building dating back to the 1800's. The entire building is built from red bricks & has beautiful Ivy growing/covering the majority of the building-which imo, has always been such an attractant in our town as you drive down main street. So, we park & walk inside. I notice it's a tad snug inside..but feel it's ok since they weren't too crowded at the time. Then the service woman let's us know about their outdoor seating!! Yes please!!😀 She shows us to the side door that leads to the outdoor eating area. I truly don't know how I had not noticed this place before! So pretty outside! Surrounded by trees & other lovely green growing beauties & decorations- including gorgeous white lights strung throughout that came on as the sun began to set. It was almsot whimsical to me. My sister & brother inlaw loved it! Then as if the private (only cuz no one else sat outside hahaa) outdoor seating wasn't awesome enuff, they served our food & everyone's eye's grew quite large at the sight of 2 of their delectable burgers- they were HUGE! Then the Pizza arrived- OMGoodness gracious it was freaking good!! So the worry we had about any prices went right away- they def give you your money's worth!! And it was truly scrumptious😋 We we're able to have such an amazing evening talking, eating, laughing & just really enjoyed ourselves. I took many pics that I'll upload soon too. Our visiting family was very pleased & happy & it helped make our- too short of a visit- very memorable🍔🍕🍷🍻💕 Thank You, to the very sweet helpful service we recieved. We will definitely be coming back! I love that it's right here by home too!! This is not your usual Pizza joint. They serve many dishes & have a large variety of toppings & speciality pizzas...order & take home..order take home & bake too!!! There's a steady flow of customers, but calling ahead is smarter anyways. The food is truly tasty! Parking almost surrounding the building for a spot no matter what. Handicapped accessible parking & wheelchair. Restrooms inside. Outdoor eating area-day or night. Goid prices especially for what you get! Conveniently located right off main street, directly across from the Fire Station & beside the bank, where there's bunches more parking if none are open directly in front of building. It is a Historical building in our community. Rich with history. Right next door is the Bar..have a drink with friends & play a game of 🎱 Lot's of regulars, but we're a very friendly country town & we welcome you to come check us out!! I like the convenience of a local pizza parlor. I also like their menu. Although I've never been a fan of oven cooked pizza without the pan, where the pizza is placed directly in and on the oven bottom to cook. It makes the bottom of the pizza crust really crunchy and the rest of the pizza crust soft and sometimes not so cooked, depending on the amount of toppings you have put on. They make your standard versions of everyone's old favorites, plus they have specialty pizzas as well as make your own. They also have a variety of sizes and compared with other pizza places locally, they are very reasonable in price. The services and cleanliness of the inside seating and restrooms is by far one of the cleanest restaurants I've been in locally. The wait staff are friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to please their customers, which makes for a nice and friendly place to eat. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and there's plenty of easy to get in and out of parking. They are only open till 9:00 pm weekdays but have a later closing time for Friday and Saturdays. They also offer a variety of other menu items such as Calzones, salads, and during the day till 2:00 pm they have pizza by the slice! I am saddened to say that after years of enjoying Pogo's, I recently had a frustrating experience trying to place a pick-up order. I was put on hold for almost 10 minutes and overheard the staff’s conversation when they accidentally unmuted the phone.

After being forgotten for a while, I hung up and called back. A different person took my order. An hr and 10 mins later, my brother went to pick up the order, and they claimed they had no record of it and sent him to another location. While on his way to the Riv, he called me and had to turn around because the order was made at the main st location in Kelseyville.

I tried calling Pogo's multiple times to clarify, but they never answered and even hung up on me. When my brother went back a 2nd, they were finally able to confirm the order, but the staff was rude and disorganized. Again, this was an overall regretful and...
