Blue Nest Coffee — Restaurant in Lakewood

Update: Went back about 10 months later to give it another try. Ordered a cortado again. This time the foam entirely collapsed after about 30 seconds (see other picture). I feel like the goal here is to cram in as many patrons as possible while minimizing the time taken to make coffee. Maybe this makes sense from an economic perspective but it is pretty disappointing.

Original Review: I came to blue nest last weekend and had an excellent cortado. I came again today and had a worse experience. The milk in the cortado was barely foamed, the drink was watery, and I could barely taste the espresso. There also was very little care in how milk was added to the drink (photo attached). I love this little coffee shop. It's always out of the way for me but I never hesitate to stop here for one of the most scrumptious, iced lavender lattes. Every time I take a sip of this latte, that is perfectly crafted by these baristas, I almost shed a tear. Each sip is like a gentle caress to the soul, a moment of pure tranquility. These baristas transform a simple drink into an experience that lingers, like a whispered lullaby that stays with you long after the song is over. If Blue Nest has 1 million fans, I'm one of them. Quaint and relaxing environment with delicious drinks and breakfast sandwiches!

I had the Raven seasonal drink and my mom had a decaf Americano with sugar-free hazelnut (yes they have sugar free syrups which is most excellent.) The turkey sausage and gf sausage sandwiches were very tasty and served hot!

The staff were super friendly and knew exactly what they were doing when making a cup of coffee because they were absolutely delicious. The Raven was one of the best crafted drinks I’ve had.
