Brothers Korean BBQ — Restaurant in Lakewood

My coworker tipped this location off to me as one of the authentic Korean barbeque restaurants, and I can’t really argue with the enjoyable dining experience. Warning: no air conditioning, limited parking lot, crowding at dinner time.

There are several differences between this traditional Korean Bbq restaurant and the mainstream ones like Quarters. The grill is coal powered, and the server will bring a coal chimney-like device to your table after you order food. You can feel the heat from your seat The beef fat from the ribs are used to lubricate the griddle, which is a convex dome. Cool design! The servers cook the food for you to medium-rare quality. The food was devour for us before it could cook longer.

The quality of the meat was definitely high tier, but the pricing blurs the line between superior- and comparable-grade meat when compared to other high-end Korean BBQrestaurants like Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong. Worst experience ever. I asked for water and it never came. I had to ask again to get a water. We got a wrong meat which I never ordered. The server changed it. No big deal. The server did not even come to our table not even once during entire time we have been there. We finished our meal and waited for check. We waited for 15 mins and still the server did not came to our table. I asked for check and i I was charged for wrong table. I recently tried this Korean BBQ gem in Orange County, and it totally wowed me. The food (we ordered the Non-Marinated Beef Ribs) was absolutely incredible. It was cooked with charcoal to perfection, juicy, and bursting with flavor – top-notch ingredients for sure. The beef is, I think, of the highest grade.

And the staff was super friendly and helped us with the grilling every step of the way. It made the whole experience a blast.
