Coffee Cakes — Restaurant in Lakewood

I've been waiting for this to open, but I have to admit I was a bit disappointed when I went. I passed by this morning because I thought some place like this would have unique coffee flavors. Coffee shops usually do. They do have the basic latte's which were vanilla, mocha, caramel etc. I ordered a caramel latte with oat milk. it cost me 8 something for one 16 ounce caramel latte with oat milk. It was really expensive for a basic flavored latte. So I'm just hoping it would taste really good. Flavor wasn't anything to unique than the more cheaper coffee shops that make them, and to add to that it was lukewarm. I drank it as soon as I got to my car and drove off.

I also thought there would be a variety of cakes, it's actually coffee cakes. They have pastries and 2-3 types of coffee cakes. So probably won't come back. Hopefully they ensure the coffee is served hot in the future and consider the pricing for the coffee, because I could literally get a crème brule latte same size with oat milk for 5.95.

However inside is nice and the vibe is modern. There was early 2000 r&b music...

I stopped by today to satisfy my coffee cake craving and was not disappointed! Several different coffee cakes caught my eye and I am SO glad I tasted a few of them! The Sour Cream coffee cake, with it's sweet, nutty filling can only be described as "luxurious." The Buttermilk coffee cake is moist, delicate, and indulgent. I thought I was in heaven. But hold the door--the Coconut coffee cake is out of this world! The balance of flavors between the sweet coconut and a hint of lemon is just the thing that made my day! The generous slices are enough to share with a loved one, but I dare say that I am tempted to keep all three to myself! LOL I'll definitely be back! I encourage all of you to treat yourself to a quality coffee cake and support this local Lakewood...

PARKING: We went around lunchtime on a Friday and the parking was a little packed but there was still some spots open.

DRINKS: We ordered caramel macchiato (added extra caramel drizzle and oat milk) and a matcha latte. The caramel macchiato was good, even though I asked for extra caramel it wasn’t too sweet and not overly milky. The matcha latte was ok, it had a good amount of sweetness but it was more milky than what I’m used to.

FOOD: They had a good selection of pastries, we ordered the almond croissant and it was delicious. It was flaky, nutty, and the topping had a good crisp to it....
