Undercooked Chicken – Health Hazard and Total Disappointment
We placed a mobile order from the KFC at 4917 Bellflower Blvd., Lakewood, CA on May 13, 2025, and what we received was a public health hazard. Multiple pieces of chicken in our 12-piece meal were visibly undercooked—pink, rubbery, and unsafe. I’ve attached photos that clearly show raw sections near the bone. It was repulsive and dangerous.
Only the wings and drumsticks appeared fully cooked. My son and I ate only partial pieces before realizing how bad it was. I ended up feeling queasy and disgusted just from seeing the raw meat. They refunded the $38.94 and gave us 500 points, but that doesn’t undo the risk or the trauma.
We trusted this brand with our health. That trust is gone.
This isn’t an isolated case—it seems like undercooked chicken is becoming a pattern at KFC locations, and it’s unacceptable. Don’t risk your health for convenience. Check your food thoroughly. Or better yet—go elsewhere.

With only 3 groups in front of me I saw all the drive thru cars go thru plus more with zero service at the front counter!!! 40 minutes to order and get the wrong order is BAD!!! All of the 3 groups in front of me had some kind of problem with their order(drinks missing, order for here & no plates or utensils). I ordered the 8 pcs family fill up for $25.99 & was charged for the 8 pcs for $27.99 & the manager was going to fix it by giving me $2 ? What about my other lg side and the tax?? With 8 people working in side(that I could see)& nobody taking care of the front counter it will be a very very long time if ever for me to go back here. While sitting and waiting, I watched the "Manager" being rude to customers and loudly talking bad about them after they leave, for everybody in the restaurant to hear. A half hour later, a young woman asked if she could help me. I told her I was still waiting for my order. She said, "Oh, it's right here", indicating the box where delivery drivers pick up orders. By this time, the food was cold and two of our five meals went uneaten. This is just one of a long list of issues I have had with this location.
