I must say... after experiencing a very bad and emotional hurtful response from a Denny's manager. At a different Denny's location in the Pierce County area of Washington State. The manager Cathy was an exceptional change of redeeming awesome customer service of an inconvenience situation at her Denny's. Unfortunately, I did not receive my free birthday treat (a dessert or value slam breakfast) from the email. I received. Because the server couldn't scan the QR code. Due to the scanner being only compatible to barcode. And the register system no longer had the honored birthday discount. So, I was directed to contact a manager on another day to receive a resolution. Because the day I dined in this Denny's. There were no managers available. It took me three days later to resolve the issue. Due to managers being very busy on the floor (with low staffing) cooking and serving. So eventually I was able to reach Cathy. Who happened to be off for three days from my time dining in her Denny's. After having me confirm my order from my receipt to her over the phone. She was more than willing to make my resolution fulfilled and make me happy. She had me come in and receive another breakfast free of charge with a complimentary drink. I am very satisfied. Of how Cathy handled my issue at her Denny's. And she definitely reflects good customer service skills as one of Denny's managers at that establishment. Read moreWhen I placed my order on my birthday..if needed 01/10/1989 but placed this year 01/10/2021... of course...this Denny's completely RUINED the ENTIRE meal by first telling us it would be ready in 45 minutes... keep in mind it at that time, was 25 minutes or so to closing. Yes I would be that one party off 3 that shows up right before closing. THAT DOESN'T MEAN...h have an order that's been sitting out for MORE THAN 10 MINUTES. And I was charged for an extra order that WE DID NOT ORDER...IN FACT WE ORDERED EXTRA PANCAKES WITH STRAWBERRIES... but nope no pancakes..but an order for a BYO. Slam that was not ours. Sad thing is ALL 3 of the employees that night knew dang well they were screwing up my orders... the cook straight up had that look of "haha..that'll teach you to come in last minute" all over his face and so did the 2 women on shift with him that night. I've worked my share of restaurants and fast food joints growing up...YOUR SCREEN TELLS YOU YOU'RE EFFING UP! My family and I knew there'd be no reason to even waste my time turning around ro fix my order before they locked doors and burned out.. nor to waste breath calling management the next day for my $45 refunded... cause I've seen how this Denny's orders numerous times.
