Everything about this restaurant is topnotch. The food is consistently good and hot; the prices are comparable to other Mexican restaurants; the servers are extremely friendly and helpful; they DO write separate checks if you ask nicely; the owners were not advised about the no alcohol situation (being within 500 yards of a school!) when they bought the building. Las Fuentes is one of our regular dining spots. I order the carnitas plate about 90% of the time. The plate comes with pork carnitas, guacamole, pico, rice, beans, and tortillas. It comes smothered in green chili. It's been delicious every time. I find the staff delightful. They have a very small bar, which is the one downfall. I never order a cocktail here. Hands down my favorite authentic Mexican restaurant in the Lakewood area and a place I’ve been coming to for over 8 years. The staff treats you like family and the food is fantastic. The restaurant has a great atmosphere both inside and out. The green chili is to die for and the breakfast burritos are a must try!
