UPDATE 2023: They are still amazing! We still order from here when we want Chinese food. We used the Beyond Menu app tonight and our order was misplaced, BUT when we called and asked for an update, let me tell you what, they made it right immediately. Things happen, especially when a 3rd party app is involved, and they went above and beyond to fix it. We received some extra items, and they delivered VERY quickly after realizing what happened. Thank you so much, and Merry Christmas! -Chryssy and Aaron Johnson
2020:Warning, long review. Feel free to read it all, but if youre looking for an overview; just order from here already. They are OUT OF THIS WORLD good.
So we ordered last night at 9:15pm. This was our last chance to get Chinese food, we called about 4 other places and it was too late, or they werent open due to the virus going around. They offered to deliver and it would be the last one of the night. We were so excited, we've never ordered from this place before, so we were really hoping that their food was as amazing as their customer service; we were not let down.
We put in our order, it was under $50 including an over 20% tip. This is really good pricing, especially because the place we usually order from thats significantly closer came to roughly $75 with a 15% tip.
First order of business the cheese wontons, we took the first bite and fell in love. They were amazing, perfectly crispy, the perfect amount of filing, and over all goodness.
We then jumped into our food, I had the sesame chicken, my go to, I was head over heels for it. Perfectly sweet with a perfect hint of spice, the chicken its self was perfectly cooked, not over done, not under done. Order it.
My husband had Beef and Broc. The veggies were fresh, not super soggy like they had been sitting in the bottom of the pan for 6 hours. The beef was amazing, tender and flavorful, honestly the best we've ever had.
Our fried rice was out of this world. Not over cooked or undercooked, it was fluffly and light. Ive never finished my rice from anywhere else, I personally hate eating it, but I finished my portion with delight.
Lastly the eggrolls. This killed me and I went straight to food heaven. There has to be mamas secret ingredient in there. I've never had an eggroll this good, even when its home made by my coworkers and neighbors.
Mama always said the way to a persons heart is through food. If I could pick a restaurant to be my lover, this place is it.
So what are you doing still reading this?? ORDER FROM THEM!!!!! You...
Read moreFirst, I almost NEVER write negative reviews but this was truly a disaster. Paid $56 for 2 people “all you can eat” (should have been the first red flag for all you can eat sushi but we took a chance). My boyfriend and I ordered an entree of sesame chicken with fried rice, egg rolls, wontons, and a couple sushi rolls.
The tiny bowl of sesame chicken came out literally within 3 minutes of ordering, piping hot and CLEARLY microwaved. It was mushy, chewy, steaming, and there were like 3 tablespoons of rice underneath it. The wontons came and the sweet and sour sauce tasted like bleach. The sushi arrived and my boyfriend took one bite and said it tasted like the limp lettuce on a 7/11 sandwich, and wouldn’t take another bite.
At this point we decided to cut our losses, just tell them we wanted to just pay for whatever we had eaten and go eat somewhere else. When asked why, I said the sushi tasted weird and the sauce tasted like cleaning chemicals. She looked at us and said, “Have you ever eaten sushi before?” Uhhh yeah. We eat sushi every single week; this was disgusting.
They then had the audacity to charge us for the entire meal anyway despite the fact that we left 90% of it untouched lol, which didn’t seem like a good faith business move to make for a dissatisfied customer! Just gross and not worth the money nor the potential food poisoning we expect to get lol. Go...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I decided to try something new and were excited that this place has a lunch buffet. We ordered several items in our first round and that included sushi. The non-sushi was ok, nothing special at all and a little bland. The sushi, however, had a foul odor to it. I don't enjoy sushi but my boyfriend tried it and his face turned to disgust. I've seen my boyfriend eat almost anything and, as frugal as he is (I mean he doesn't believe in tossing food of any kind), he couldn't eat it. He said it tastes rotten and he started feeling sick very quickly.
He had contacted histamine poisoning likely from the fish sitting ito too long. He got flush in the face, ran a temperature, and had a terrible pain in his stomach. We had complained about the sushi as an effort to try to warn the restaurant and they just brushed us ifo and upcharged us for the sushi we didn't consume--which we understand because that's the policy, but we had hoped to be taken nowm seriously.
I will not be returning to Purple Ginger Asian Fusion and I hope that those who do use caution when selecting their menu items. I'm very disappointed with...
