First of all let me start off by saying that myself and my girlfriend had never tried Pf Changs until this day, we went to the Belmar location at 230 pm on Saturday 12-2-23, there was hardly any other patrons in the restaurant. Our waitress Kaleh took our drink order and we also informed her at this time that we would like to try the flaming filet wontons appetizer(she did not write any of this down). When she returned with our drinks she asked if we would like an appetizer we said yes the wontons she says oh yea theyll be out soon as we watch her now write it down on her pad. A male employee food runner shows up 10 minutes later with the appetizer and sets it down on the table (he did not make any type of warning that the plate was extremely hot, it was a cast-iron small skillet in the middle of another plate) I didnt know that this inner thing was scolding hot right out of an oven I reached out to slide the plate to the center of the table and burned the tips of two of my fingers really bad(i had to take ice out of my drink to hold between my fingers, he then proceeded to pour some type of alcohol around the platter and he spilled some on the table and then he lit this liquid on fire with a lighter also igniting the stuff he splilled on the table causing a flame to ignite right in front of my girlfriends face. The waitress came over and had to pat the fire out. We then ordered our two entrees and waited a good 15-20 minutes, there was another couple sitting behind us that came in at least 15 minutes after us, the same food runner male comes out and places two entrees on their table and he walks off we then over heard the couple state that the entrees were not what they ordered, their waiter came back and realized that they gave them our order and told them they could keep them to munch on while they wait for their actual entrees to arrive, in the mean time we haven't seen our server in at least 15 minutes and finally she shows up and places our entrées on the table doesnt say one word and disappears again. As far as we could tell we were her only table, we did at least get one refill but it was from a male server that wasnt even our server. Our server finally showed up and placed the bill on the table and stated pay this with your phone and walked off!!!! The service here was ridiculous and the tips of my fingers a day later are still numb!! Also the food was awful on top of everything else. UPDATE: well it's been over two weeks now and still no response from the management if this restaurant. I guess they could care less that there customers get severe 🔥 burns and horrible service. I will be contacting there...

Mongolian beef was tough and under seasoned. The crispy honey chicken was in big blobs of batter and chicken, not separate pieces like normal. Everything was timed poorly. Soup was brought after appetizer. And right before entrees, so the soup wasn't eaten. They have a $4.50 upcharge for fried rice, that had no flavor. It used to be flavorful, and had egg and carrots and green onion. If it was in there, one would never noticed. I know they changed their recipes when they sold out to the grocery stores, and this was the worst food the Belmar PF Changs has ever produced, since I have been going since it opened. The senior manager took off the soup and the app, and it really was moot by then.
I might have given the atmosphere a better rating, and I asked specifically for a table, because I am bone-on-bone, and I was told the tables were all reserved by the hostess (it's just after Noon, restaurant is not even 1/4 full at this point.) And not one of those tables was filled up by the time we left. She tried to put the 3 of us on a tiny 2 person table, for chinese, that has multiple plates. We declined, so a booth was our only option. After our meal, getting out of the booth nearly incapacitated me, which is why I asked for a table. On the way out, I asked the hostess if she had any idea what it was like to walk on a broken hip, and how disappointed I was that we were told the tables were ALL reserved. And they were all still empty at the end. She then told told me they were reserved for this evening. I was even more upset at this statement. Then she said if the booth wasn't ok she would've got us a table. I ASKED FOR A TABLE! Remember, they were all reserved... just wow! How about I am sorry you are upset? Not just excuses that were outrageous. She should definitely not be the first and last person anyone encounters at this restaurant.
Our server Wilder did a great job considering all the problems around him (the table next to us also had to talk to the manager for false advertisement of a 3 course meal.)
This restaurant needs better senior management for its team did not deliver quality on this father's day visit. To be honest, I would be surprised if this restaurant is open next year. And I doubt we...
Read moreI too, like many others feel PF Changs has lost their way. Changs Spicy Chicken has always been my go-to dish. When they switched from cubed chicken to strip chicken I was told it was because chicken would not thoroughly cook through. Okay I guess, but not the same. Two visits ago I sent the dish back. Best way to describe it, is “cooked twice” chicken! This stuff turned to powder when eaten. The replacement dish came out, fresh and delightful. Tonight, I experienced the same thing with a new twist. Not only was it cooked twice but the pieces of chicken were a fraction of the size as previous versions of this dish. In all fairness, they were in various sizes hence were I believe the problem lies. (A third of the dish was uneatable as the meat was pea size). I believe there is a policy that requires the cooks to cook the chicken for a specific amount of time. The problem is they cook it to this specification regardless of the size of pieces. I also believe it is precooked and reheated when served. Like several other reviews here our visits are fewer and farther between. I can order Spicy chicken at my local restaurant that now surpasses the quality PF Chang delivers. Funny how our minds work. I continue to hang on to the memories of that delicious dish I used to get, hoping for a transforming experience on one of my next visits. Tonight I lost hope. Especially after reading the other reviews herein. If their response to these negative reviews is testimony to how management runs their restaurant, nothing will change unless you contact them directly and physically voice your concern. If you recall, they recooked my dish previously and it was okay. But who has the time and why can’t they do it right the first time. I hope they get it right one day, but it will be a long while before...
