Rough go of it here. Ordered 2 sandwiches, 2 soups and a smoothie. It was a very long wait. One soup was the wrong size, and all but one item was rung up higher than listed on the menu. $14 for a sandwich that should have been $13, $13 for other sandwich should have been $11.50, $7 for a smoothie where it was $6 on the menu, etc.

I asked why the price difference. He seemed very flustered. Then said the markup for gf and vegan cheese had gone up (from $1.50 ea to $2 and $1.75) however even if that was the case, the price was still wrong (that would have made them $11.75 and $13.50.) He said he would honor the price listed on the menu since it wasn’t reflected differently anywhere else, and refunded me $4…even though that was still wrong (the bill total should have been $44.50 + tax = 47.45; not 52.43; a difference of $4.98.)

Moving past all that, the food was good, just smaller portions than we were expecting. Smoothie had bits of cherry pit in it. He offered to remake it, but I declined as I hate wasting food and it wasn’t a big deal to work around.

For $14, I’d hope it would be a good sized sandwich. Sadly, this was a miracle to have gotten my mom to agree to eat someplace other than her kitchen, and now I don’t think I’ll be able to get her out again. We went home and made ourselves some supplementation.

As others have mentioned, it’s Cash only,...

This cafe is such a blessing and fits perfectly in funky Lambertville. Most of the menu is vegan or could easily be made vegan. Their vegan cheese of choice is Chao, which made me so happy because its daaaamn delicious. I got the reuben and it was truly one of the best Reuben's I've ever had; housemade dressing and on marbled rye drool. Other options are quite a few soups, salads and more sandwiches.

Now the atmosphere....ahhhh. The music is a speaker hooked up to a record player with a MASSIVE record collection that covers the entire wall next to the counter. There's a few tables inside and a wonderfully interesting collection of books to look through while your food & drinks are made (The one I found most interesting was The Book of Genesis....in graphic novel form.) Regulars came in and out, greeting each other kindly, herbalism classes and music events posts on the bulletin board...It was just so heartwarming to see this loving community buzzing on a beautiful day.

And yes, cash only and they do indeed take their time preparing your food. Slow food is beautiful, baby! The cafe is seemingly set up so you can enjoy your time while you wait. We will certainly be...

Awesome little joint! Stopped in for a smoothie and instantly loved the ambiance. Killer record collection, great decor, and it smelled amazing from the juice being made behind the counter. I'm not super into juicing or smoothies, but a recent tooth extraction had me looking for soft foods. The owner (Jess) made my smoothie and we had a pleasant chat. Kitchen looked very clean, and the whole place just feels like somewhere you just want to sit and relax. Their green smoothie was delicious, and really hit the spot for me (and I hate kale!). Took home some 5-bean chili that was likewise amazing. Totally recommend if you are looking for a chill spot with healthy, fresh food. ...
