Buenos Dias Cafe & Restaurant — Restaurant in Lambertville

I unfortunately cannot recommend Buenos Dias Café. I just had one of the worst food experiences. I went in with family to have brunch. First, they were out of nearly every menu item — huevos rancheros, entomatadas, and apparently chips and salsa??? Second, we waited over 45 minutes and had not received our food. Third, when a plate of food did finally arrive for one person, it was the incorrect order. Meaning we’d have to wait ANOTHER 45 minutes for the correct item to be made. The wait staff didn’t believe when we said it was the wrong order. No apologies, no explanation for the delay. I am typically very differential toward wait staff and small businesses like this, but it was such a bad experience we had to simply walk out of there and find brunch elsewhere. I liked this place a lot. Was trying to go to a different Mexican restaurant but it was closed.

I ordered the quesabirria which came out piping hot and was absolutely packed with meat. Things that were fried were perfectly crisp. The salsas were both amazing and the red one was quite hot.

This little gem has a hometown feel. The homemade tortillas are good and the food has an authentic taste of Mexican cuisine. Service was quick and they were attentive to our needs. The signature tables, dishes, and flatware are nice and clean, but the walls and lighting imbues the feel of a Brooklyn dumpling joint.
