Bad business!!! Went here for the first time Oct 6th 2018. I ordered a chicken sandwich plain, with nothing on it, add cheese. My kids ordered spaghetti and my husband ordered brisket. I received my sandwich, it had sauce on it. I politely notified the waitress, who apologized and immediately took the plate to get it corrected. I received my plate back within 5-7 minutes. She apologized again and explained that she had only wrote plain on the ticket, and she was supposed to write plain and dry. I told her not to worry about it. Here is where it gets bad! I look at the sandwich and the cook, had halfway attempted to wipe the sauce off the chicken strips and placed them on a new bun, with a new slice of cold/unmelted cheese. I wasn't about to send it back, again. I wiped all the sauce off I could see and attempted to eat it. Literally two small bites in, (I was leary to eat it, fearing the sauce flavor had soaked into the chicken strips) I realized there was sauce between the old cheese that was melted to the chicken, and the new slice. I snacked on my fries and waited for my family to eat their food. I informed the waitress at the end of our meal and showed her what the cook had done. I lifted up the bun and the slice of cheese and showed her where there was some left over melted cheese on the chicken strips and all the sauce that was in between. She was embarrassed! She took the plate and went straight to the manager to show her what had happened. The manager offered a $1.00 off my meal. Seriously?!?! $1.00. My entire sandwich was sitting on my plate, with two small bites taken out of it. I couldn't believe the manager would allow her cooks to act in such a manner. And then insult me, with the offer of $1.00 off. We will never go back....

A mixed bag. I wanted to go 5 āļøbut couldn’t. Let’s be clear the restaurant offers cafeteria style service and menu service. We arrived on a Monday about 20 minutes before they closed and did not get a lot of service. We had to ask about ā€œseatingā€ then waited for someone to come by, then we got beverages and menus and were told the server would be with us. Several more minutes without anyone coming by, and several staff were chatting and starting closing breakdown and clean up rather than take care of customers. The young lady finally arrived and apologized for the delay as she was taking care of a large table in another dining area. Still, staff was available to help get things started. I even got up and walked over to ask, if we needed to order up front. So service was an issue. Food was great. My salad, along with massive CFS, and potatoes gravy and texas toast was great. All I expected. Chicken strips were good too along with the BBQ plate. Cleanliness was an issue too and floors, and bathrooms need attention. There was a sign on the door indicating that reatauant would be closing on 7/15/24 for cleaning upgrades and improvement to diners experience. That will be needed. So there you have it. All the food was hot, delicious and came out quickly. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our waitress answered all 75 questions that my parents had with a smile and genuine answer. I went with my kids and my parents. My parents went through the walk through service line while my kids and I ordered off the menu. She made sure to let us know a few minutes before our menu items came out so that my parents could go through the line and we could all eat at the same time. My dad did not hear her talk about the pricing options of the line so he picked out everything he wanted not knowing they have a charge per item option or a set ā€œhalf portionā€ option. The waitress apologized for not better explaining it to him, he assured her it was all fine and he was happy with his choices but once we left he noticed she took some off of his plate price anyway. Felt right at home and welcomed, which is rare when taking my autistic son out in public anywhere. We did not get the rude stares or aggravated staff that most places give us when he has an episode. Overall we had a very pleasant experience! We will definitely be coming back and suggesting it to our...

I placed an order over the phone at 9:45 am on May 28, 2023 and was told that my order of one cup of soup would be ready in 5 to 10 minutes. After over 30 minutes of waiting inside the restaurant after driving there my soup was finally ready. If you love extra salty soup try here, because I definitely like to enjoy the flavor of my food and not only taste salt. Never eating here again. Just be honest about waiting times and people would understand. You're just wasting everyone's time. The picture is attached, I couldn't even finish the rest. Horrible food and service. Response from owner: Sorry to hear about your salty soup and bad service Reply: It wasn't only my soup but soup for my entire family. Luckily we found a new establishment to give our money to for our breakfast!! And it was an amazing breakfast at that. The rest of your soup ended up in the trash.

Grabbed two small plates, ate with my father. My father ate the brisket and smoked sausage, which he said was tender and juicy. He also enjoyed the sweet tea and cornbread, although he felt the collard greens were a bit bland. I ate the catfish, which was well seasoned and had nice breading, I also really liked the cabbage and hush puppies. However, the green beans were a bit lacking in flavor, and I felt the cornbread was a bit dry. Kinda wish the food was a bit warmer. Overall, we enjoyed a simple quick meal that was pretty decent. Additional info: They don't ask for payment upfront. You grab the food, and then they come to your table for payment afterward. I'm surprised cause I feel some people would take advantage of this system by eating and then not paying. I think this business model would work in killeen.
