Copper Pig Brewery in Lancaster, NH for a couple pints, a taster & a killer breakfast on a Sunday. The first of three spots on my trip up to northern New Hampshire to check off the furthest breweries from me I hadn't been to. The trip up north definitely opened my eyes to just how desolate & far it is between some towns, I'm definitely to much of a city boy to make it up here happily. I have never had anything from Copper Pig Brewery before so I was going in completely blind expectation wise. The styles here were pretty broad with a couple lagers, a porter & stout, pale ale, DIPA, red ale, seltzer, cider & wheat ale. The further north you get in NH I've noticed the decline of IPA's on the menu places, especially NEIPA's with more traditional offerings taking up a lot of space on the tap lists now. I tried to get a few styles to get a taste of as much as possible so let's get to it. 🍻🍻🔥☘
I started with a pint of the KILKENNY IRISH RED, it was a good above average crisp red ale with some excellent malt & cereal flavor on the finish. I then grabbed a 5oz taster of the LITTLE PIGGY PORTER, a delicious, smooth & creamy dark beer that would have been worth a pint of. For my last beer I scooped a pint of the LARS007 DIPA, it was good, but I would stick to the more traditional offerings here it seems to be where the passion lies. 🍻🔥☘☘💪🏆
Let's talk about that breakfast I got, it was phenomenal & very well priced for under $15. I got scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage patties, white toast & three massive pancakes which I destroyed with butter & syrup. Along with the beers I consumed I needed a wheelchair to roll me out of the place. I went on a Sunday morning & they were only open until noon doing breakfast. All the seating options here including tables, hightops, a small bar & a seasonal patio section. I didn't see any options for beer to go, but they might do growlers. Fun spot, good beers & a damn great breakfast. 🍻🔥☘🍳🥐🥣✌♥️🍺

Read moreI just wanted to give a shout out to The Copper Pig Brewery in Lancaster, NH. As you may know, Lancaster, NH was in the "path of totality" for the solar eclipse on 4/8/24. We drove a couple of hours north to be able to view the eclipse. We are big fans of breweries and visit new ones whenever we travel. So we decided The Copper Pig would be a good place to visit on this day. We knew it would be crowded everywhere and were prepared for that. I messaged The Copper Pig on Facebook because I saw they were not usually open on Mondays, but wanted to know if they were making an exception for the eclipse. Someone got back to me quickly saying they would be open for dining and the patio would be open for eclipse viewing. When we arrived a little before opening, there was already a line waiting to get in. We were able to park in their parking lot, and waited for a table. They were very organized and quickly seated everyone in line. Our server was pleasant, helpful and did not act rushed or frazzled even with the large crowd. The food was amazing, and the beers were really good too! After lunch we moved to the patio and got in line for beer. They were organized there as well, with one person pouring and another taking payments. The line was long because there were just so many people there, but the staff remained pleasant and calm. When it got close to eclipse time, we tailgated in the parking lot so my son could set up his camera. The staff came out to watch the full eclipse, then quickly and efficiently cleaned up and closed up after the majority of the customers were gone. The entire day was a very pleasant experience and I am impressed by how well they were prepared for the large crowd and how everyone kept such positive attitudes. If I am ever in Lancaster, NH again, I will...
Read moreThis place seems like a nice little place to have a good meal and sample the local beer; unfortunately my wife and I never got the chance. The bad....we called ahead of time to see if a reservation was needed and to confirm the closing time. The woman on the phone said to just come over and that they actually top seating 30 minutes before closing. We got there 45 BEFORE closing and the woman that came to the door gave us the "we're closed" look and was as cold as ice. I thought it was weird because I had just seen another couple go inside 5 minutes before we made it to the stairs. At this point my wife was disappointed but mad about how the greeter handled the situation. So basically we think this might be a good place but I guess we will never know.
Note: My wife and travel around the country going to as many breweries to sample the beers and collect pint glasses so this was a big disappointment. Hopefully one day when we forget the ordeal we may go back since we live...
