was told about this by a friend because I love french toast and have been trying different restaurants for it. This is definitely a great little breakfast place. Greg who I believe is the owner was who waited on me today, and made sure that I was taken care of. Can tell he cares about this place as well as his customers. The french toast comes the classic way, but they also have a cinnamon bun french toast style which I ended up with. It was amazing, and definitely recommend! Don’t sleep on this place! Way too many places have horrible workers or horrible managers, and at The Morning Griddle they definitely have good food, awesome staff, and a more intimate seating unlike some of the more crowded seating at some places. Would definitely recommend come by or check it out when getting your tires done at the tire shop or after getting a hair cut at the choppe shop next door! Also cost wise it was about the same as dennys $21 for cinnamon bun french toast eggs bacon, and a side of fruit. I also got a coffee. At dennys for same food, but regular french toast with eggs bacon, side fruit, and coffee its $23 just for...
Read moreThey are kind people, and are probably under staffed, but I did not have a good experience all three times I have come here. If you aren't a regular, a senior, or in a large group you will be ignored. All three times the service was slow and spotty. You cannot get hot water for tea even if you ask for a new pot. I'm not super picky, but you just can't make tea with Luke warm water. The strawberries were slightly brown and rotten. There was cigarette smoke coming in from somewhere. The orange juice was slightly fermented. The saving grace was the potatoes O'Brien. They were very well done despite the errant mushrooms from another dish. Like I said, they are not malicious.they are actually quite kind, but overall I feel they need to know they are not going to get return customers if they ignore you, and serve you rotten...
Read moreDecided to give this place a shot due to solid reviews and I'm glad I did so. Decent prices, enormous portions (I had to leave almost half my food and that never happens), and friendly and attentive staff. The coffee was decent and the food was good, but not amazing. I regretted getting "bacon" in my omelette because it was much more akin to a thinly sliced and overcooked ham steak than actual bacon. They appear to use this same meat in their gravy, but I didn't mind it there. The eggs and the hashbrowns were also quite greasy. I would definitely come here again but I'd order...
