Giving a one star review only because I can't rate lower. DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION! Drive five minutes down the road to the DeWitt location and you'll be much happier! I'm posting the full transcript of my visit below because it has to be read to be believed. I have NEVER encountered such rude, disrespectful customer service ANYWHERE until now.
I arrived at the beginning of Lunch service at 10:30 AM. Me: "Have you started lunch?" Drivethru girl: "No. We don't start lunch until ten thirty." someone corrects her Drivethru girl: "Oh, yeah, we can take a lunch order." Me: "Okay. One moment." Drivethru Girl: "You'll have to wait though because we just now started lunch... or it might be ready by the time you get up here." Me (ignoring her): "Okay. I'll have a #2, medium." Her: "What to drink?" Me: "An orange Hi-C?" Her (curtly): "We don't have that." Me: "Okay.... what about... lemonade?" Her (irritated): "We don't have that." Me (frustrated): "Okay... whatever you have that isn't carbonated." Her: "We have powerade, tea, coffee, regular orange juice... what do you want?" Me: Okay. I'll take powerade." Her (still irritated): "Okay. Is that it for your complicated order?"
I'd had enough by that point, so I went around to speak to a manager inside the restaurant rather than completing my order. I waited almost ten minutes before somebody finally came to the register (with a full line in the restaurant, I might add), and then only after I commented to another customer. When the cashier finally came to the register, I asked to speak to the manager, who was obviously in a hurry. I quickly went over what had happened.
Her (after I finished): "So who took your order?" Me: "I don't know. It was the girl in the drivethru." Her: "But you don't know who took it?" Me (a little irritated): "I don't know. Who do you have running your drivethru. another correction by a crew member Her (obviously in a hurry): "Okay. I'll talk to her." Me: "It's more than just that... I work in food service too, and it's really not professional, and then on top of everything else, I had to wait forever to even see anyone up here." Her: "Well I can't help that. I'm short-staffed." Me: "But you should always have someone at the front to greet customers." Her: "Well if I don't have anybody I can't put them in the positions. Now if that's all I have other customers to get to."
I turned and left. It wasn't just the crew that were rude and uncaring. It extended to management too. HORRIBLE experience here. Avoid...
Read moreI went through the drive thru tonight (11-5-25) at approximately 615pm-630pm. I ordered a large coffee, 2 pies and a mcdouble. They were out of pumpkin pies and so I ordered apple pies. Proceeded to the pay window (very polite and friendly kid), he was wearing Lego earrings. I wish I had his name. Excellent service on his part. Then went to the the pick up window. Was offered cookies in place of the pies. There would be a 12 minute wait for pies (was not informed of the wait at the ordering station). I wanted pies and asked for a refund, which was granted. 2 minutes passed by after the refund and was handed a bag which contained the mcdouble and 1 pie (which was odd because previously informed of the 12 minute wait on pies).
Attendant proceeded about their work and didn't say anything about the coffee. I continued to wait 5 more minutes. Other vehicles began to form a line behind me. I was then asked to move forward and the coffee would be brought out (I was never informed there was a wait). I did as I was asked. The vehicles behind me were taken care of one by one. An attendant came out to have me move further up as I noticed another car behind me had to wait as well. Again no mention how long it would be for the coffee.
The vehicle waiting behind me was taken care as well as another vehicle in parking lot (who I didn't notice was waiting) were given their order.
I was tired and had another 50 minute drive home ahead me. I decided to leave. For whatever reason this place was hopefully just having a bad time, although it did not appear to be that busy. Only one person inside placing an order. Perhaps they just went through a heavy rush of customers and I caught the tail end of a busy period.
Suffice to say, better communication would be helpful and perhaps an apology for the time delay in product not readily available. Let's focus on customer service and this place...
Read moreRudest customer service I have encountered for a loooong time. Staff totally screwed up my drive thru order (which my boyfriend picked up and of course didn't double check...men lol) and the person I spoke to gave my their name (I'm horrible with names but I thought she said Monica) and got my name and information and told me that I was owed what I ordered plus an additional hashbrown. So later that evening I go into that same location and the "manager" (the only thing that she manages is diabetes I'm sure), Teresa, tells me no such person exsists (even after telling her I wasn't sure if that was their name) and doesn't do a thing to try to see if there is any information anywhere at all regarding the situation and just tells me that the manager should have given me a number because "that's what they were told in the meeting". Like I somehow knew about said meeting and should've known better myself. After she stood still and argued with me about it and I gave up because my brain started to hurt. I manage a very well known restaurant in Lansing and I would've at least tried to figure out who they may have talked to or what happened which is what a good manager would've done. Instead, she just stood there and dismissed me so not only was my order incorrect but then I was told I couldn't get anything even though I was there due to THEIR error. I've heard horror stories about this location before but had never witnessed it before myself. It's so nice to know that a business can live up to their reputation... Also, you're welcome McDonald's for my money and thank you for absolutely nothing besides for a headache and deep remorse that I wanted to eat there in the...
