Where do I start with this place. Firstly, the location: if you’re familiar with Lansing, they’re located in the former “Leo’s Outpost” on 600 S Pennsylvania Ave. Lansing, MI. Since then, ReShane and Steve Lonzo have totally transformed this building and it is now The Comfort Zone Cigar Lounge & Bistro. This place has been remarkable and is my new favorite place to go in Lansing. I don’t go out to places in this city, as I’m normally home, spending time with my family or cutting hair at my barber suite. But since this place opened, it has been my new home away from home. The vibe is serene, the cigars are perfect, the drinks are fantastic, and if that wasn’t enough, the food is absolutely amazing. We had the Mediterranean flatbread, truffle fries, steak bites and a bottle of Champagne. Everything was phenomenal!! When it comes to an ultimate relaxing experience, The Comfort Zone Lounge & Bistro have the holy trinity plus one! I go pretty often and most recently they allowed me to host to my wonderful fiancé’s birthday gathering there. She absolutely enjoyed herself, as did the rest of the family. The staff was very helpful, especially our waiter, Alex, who was absolutely fantastic. They were very attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend anyone looking to have a nice meal, drink or a cigar. It doesn’t get any better than The Comfort Zone!

Had a party of 2, not 5. The other party had to order their food twice. Waited over an hour for 6 wings that weren’t completely cooked. Took them home and threw them in the air fryer so we could actually eat them. The bill said 89.46 (14.20 tip included- but definitely not deserved). The first time I was rung up, it said 93.46. Apparently there is a 4.00 charge for using any debit or credit card. I wanted to speak to the manager about everything (the wait, the undercooked food, the debit card service charge), but the waiter said no, and he said he would take care of everything. I thought the issue was resolved until I checked my bank statement today. Apparently, the establishment replaced the 4$ debit card fee, and took the liberty of doubling their tip? It’s scary you can’t trust establishments once your card is swiped. They can charge you whatever they want. Make this make sense…this point I prefer to just pay for what I ordered and call it a day.

"Comfort Zone Cigar Lounge & Bistro is a hidden gem! Their delectable food and top-notch cigars create a perfect combination, complemented by a relaxing ambience. The outstanding customer service provided by Rico and Alyssa only adds to the exceptional experience. The bathrooms are even spotless and very clean. The owner took time to answer all my questions. Highly recommended!"

I had the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life here at this establishment. There was a party of maybe 10 in the back and 2 other tables of no more than 3 when I first walked into the restaurant a little after 2pm. None of the other tables had food on their tables so I assumed they were only drinking and here to enjoy the jazz music that was supposed to be going on. We ordered our drinks through Ian our server and received them after a little bit of a wait. We put our food order in and asked about the entertainment that was advertised. We were told he was on break. (We had already been here for at least 30 minutes). We noticed that one of the tables had received their food after they said they had been waiting over an hour and a half for their food. The table’s food was incomplete as one guest hadn’t even received her order! The second table said they had been there since 1 pm and still no food! (It was 3:15 by this time). Their food came out, which they said it was cold, it was completely wrong and modified without consent. Their server said the menu had changed. I looked at my sister and said if our food is cold I’m going to be disappointed Our food finally came out around 3:30 and was guess what? COLD! I ordered chicken and waffles with sauce on top and a caramel glaze. I told my server for as long as we have been waiting this is unacceptable. He took my food back for a remake and we asked to have it boxed up. I asked for our bill and noticed that there was a $2 charge for a sauce on my wings that the menu said it COMES with! My server couldn’t even explain to me why I had this charge on my receipt when I asked. Then proceeded to tell us that on the weekends and “event” days that an automatic gratuity of 20 percent is added to the bill. What?! The jazz musician played for maybe 30 minutes of the 2 hours I was there. I’m a server myself and don’t mind this practice if it’s DESERVED! Ian avoided our table and had to keep going back to the bar and kitchen because he wasn’t INFORMED of the out of stock items. He should have communicated with us and let us know what was going on. When we walked in he should have told us that a new cook was working, a party was in the back so food would be taking awhile, he also should have said something about the mandatory gratuity or you need to include it in your menus. I walked into this establishment at 2 pm and walked out at 4pm with a $68 dollar tab for some COLD chicken and waffles and 2 glasses of wine. My sister and I split the steak bites and for $20 they bring out four little pieces of bread with 4 little slices of steak and bleu cheese dressing on top and was COLD! Why am I paying $20 for HALF A STEAK?! To make matters worse my food was completely wrong in my to go order! They STILL didn’t get it right! No caramel drizzle that I paid EXTRA money for, no sauce on my wings that I paid EXTRA for and how do I start with 3 chicken strips on my plate but when it’s boxed up it was one chicken strip diced up. Not worth the money or hassle whatsoever. It feels like their motto is “let’s just get through the day”. At the end of the day the servers don’t care because they still get that 20 percent tip and if they do they need to do a lot better job at communicating and accommodating people. I will NEVER come back to this place (at least not on a weekend) and will tell anyone that asks about my experience. I want to support black owned businesses but DO BETTER! I should have gone with my first mind and asked for the food to be taken off of my bill and paid for the overpriced wine I had ($9/GLASS but $11 if I were to go to the store and buy a BOTTLE) If I had cash I would have and they would have had to figure out the rest because this is unacceptable and not how you sustainably run a business. Seriously could have gotten better food at a REASONABLE price literally ANYWHERE else. Don’t waster your time just get drinks. I don’t mind paying premium prices when the food is on point but the ambience is premium not the...

I dined in on New Year’s Eve with my friend and another friend who arrived a little while after us. The atmosphere was very nice we were greeted and waited to be seated. After being seated our sever came over and asked us what were we having an I told him. I wanted a water with lite ice and one for my friend a she wanted a shot of Tito’s with Red Bull. So our friend arrived and he came back an asked us if she wanted anything a she ordered a mock tail. So then we ordered two buffalo shrimp appetizers and I ordered the cow boy steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. We also ordered two or more drinks before leaving the bar. We got there quite early and it wasn’t busy or crowded but they had a crowd. My server never asked us if we wanted separate bills or paying together when it came time for the tip. We had to ask about a drink we ordered and he forgot then later brought it to us. The cowboy didn’t disappoint everything was great and I had no complaints except for the things that I stated. But that Tuesday I begin to feel weird and sweaty I vomited up that shrimp. My friend also was sick from the shrimp and made her vomit as well. Before leaving this review I did send over a email to the extinction of what happened to me and my friend. I also encouraged her to do the same thing but we didn’t get a response or call back. My hope is that this doesn’t happen again to anyone else an can be corrected...
