Disappointing experience Saturday 5/17/25. This review is not meant to spew negativity towards the Lugnuts or the staff at the stadium but to help improve their process for a better fan experience. Upon arrival to the stadium with 3 young kids (8,5,18months) I was told I couldn’t bring our wagon in. I explained that it folds up and we have had it in there a few times before. They said no and I said I can’t leave as my other family members were inside. The semi-friendly ticket gate staff told me to step aside so others could enter. I understand that. They called their superior to come and address the situation. I assumed that person would see the wagon folded up smaller than any stroller already in the stadium and it wouldn’t be a big deal. Instead, the guy showed up with contention telling me I can’t bring the wagon in. I told him it folds and is a stroller/wagon. He wasn’t budging and I used choice language at the situation. He kicked me out and said I wasn’t allowed in that night. I asked where you can see that wagons are not allowed: it’s not on any signs on the stadium that I could see near the gate. I left with my 18 month old, and my wife had to come get the other two kids as I wasn’t allowed in. I went home and scoured the website and couldn’t see anything about wagons. But I did see strollers were allowed. I’ve included pictures of our wagon that wasn’t allowed, and our stroller that we have had inside that stadium.
We have had good experiences here before. We generally go 2-3 times per year. Kids have fun. Service is generally good. It’s close and convenient. And I want this club and business to succeed in Lansing. Here is some business advice: make sure your fan base is satisfied. Kicking out a parent with 3 young kids at the entrance is probably not the way to do it. Maybe consider if you are staunch on the wagon rule, allow the entrance if the wagons fold up. They take up minimal space. Your stadium was 25% full that night. And you lost someone who can bring a lot of people. We had a retirement party there that night. There were a lot of upset people because of this incident. Also, make it easier for those who attend to know wagons are not allowed. It may be somewhere on the website but I couldn’t find it.
Hopefully the organization learns and improves from this. Maybe we will be...
Read moreWasn't what it used to be. I used to come here several time each summer as a kid, and even after my first 2 kids were little. After standing in line for 20 minutes a woman in security told me I had to walk my bag (a small drawstring bag) to the car. I had already checked online before I came and there was no mention of no bags being allowed. I had my keys, wallet, tickets, emergency meds for one of my kids, and a coat for my youngest in it (since it was going to rain). She said "we aren't letting bags in today". I pointed to several other people they were letting in with full on military sized backpacks, full to brim. She said "that's their diaper bag" ... no baby in sight. Clearly it's not a safety thing. I even offered to empty it out and show her everything in it. She was very short tempered and said "I don't care. No" I told her "I don't have anywhere to carry this stuff but this bag and you don't sell bags inside" She replied "not my problem". I had to leave my kids at the door with their older brother (who's 18) and walk back down the road to the parking. She made several moms turn around with purses. Yet she let through DOZENS of people with fanny packs. My kids and I counted 16 full sized backpacks that night. Strollers filled past compacity with "stuff" that were never checked. Not once.
Security aside. We waited 45 minutes for 3 butterbeers, which were literally just cream soda with a dollop of whipped cream on top. In glasses that didn't even have flat bottoms, and were super tall (but super thin) so we had to hold them the whole game. We paid $27 for 3 faygo sized cans worth of pop.
No more vendors yelling "get your hotdogs/cracker jack/cotton candy/beer" up and down the isles in between innings. Which was sad. That's definitely a big part of the park vibes.
No more t-shirt gun, no more YMCA singing, not alot of fun tbh. We sat. Watched. 5 minutes of fireworks. Went home.

Read moreWe went to our first game this season as we have been previous years. We purchased accessible seating up behind the visitor dugout for shade purpose. We had fun game wise but otherwise we're disappointed. We realize it was their last game at half capacity and it's been hard to hire help. My husband cannot walk and has at best 10 sec of standing ability. We did not bring his motorized chair but opted to borrow a push chair from the park. That process went smoothly as we parked in the lot up front in the 2nd row on the end. He used his slider board to access the chair. First problem was the only Family bathroom was on the other end of the concourse. He cannot maneuver in the handicapped stalls in the regular men's room. So we had to push him all the way down to the only open facility. Also when exiting the game we find that a car has pulled up very closely to the passenger side of our vehicle where there isn't even a marked parking space. There was no way we could get ourselves in that side let alone open the door wide enough to accommodate a slider board for my husband. When I went back in seeking help from the gate ticket taker he just proceeded to walk out to where he could see the vehicles and informed me that there was nothing he was going to do. I find this in very poor taste as this vehicle was clearly let in and allowed to park there. We have a handicap plate and stickers saying we need extra room. And I find it rather strange that this park is supposevto have been built so accessible. Well since this employee decided to take this "I don't care" attitude my son in law drove our vehicle to the No Parking area and we loaded from there. It's obvious that No Parking and yellow stripping means nothing in this lot. Will we go back? I can't say. My husband and kids like the games. But it was super inconvenient for all of us...
