Eclectic Art Tattoo Gallery — Attraction in Lansing

So, I came across this tattoo shop while looking for an artist last month in June for a piece I was planning for my birthday. The shop I was originally interested in was, well, very slow to respond. Not off to a great start... So, I started looking elsewhere and making calls, getting quotes. Talking concepts, etc. I got an answer on my first attempt calling. Was asked to come in for a consult, and I got a realistic and accurate quote for the size and detail of the piece I had in mind. Cory hooked me up big time. He penciled me in rapidly, allowed for rescheduling due to my hectic farm life, and worked with me from start to finish to bring what I had in my envisioned in my head to life in ink. It's an artistic piece of my favorite dinosaur fossil. He was courteous, helpful, and completely willing to edit and add things as the needles hit skin or if I requested a little extra detail. I'm super picky, and he gave me a piece that completely represents the image I had in my head. 10/10 will go to him again in the future. If you haven't checked out this shop. Do so. It has a great vibe, chill atmosphere, helpful artists, and a ton of really cool and unique artwork hanging around like you'd expect in a gallery. I'm looking forward to the next bit of ink I get done...

I worked with Levi to get a tattoo based upon some imagery from one of my favorite poems, and I left with a piece of art that was absolutely beyond my expectations.

Levi is very personable, and I felt comfortable working with him right away. He drew his interpretation of my idea while we sat and chatted about what I was looking for. While he honored my thoughts and input, he still maintained his artistic integrity throughout the process, and made sure that both of us would be happy with his work.

I did months of research to find an artist with who I felt had a similar aesthetic. This is not a place to go if you’re a control freak; come in with an idea and allow Levi to create something beautiful for you. I worked with Sean Peters on my tattoo. Some of the things I love about their shop is that it’s appointment only, locked door which maintains a comfortable atmosphere. It of course is VERY clean and sterile. It’s a wonderful set up they have.

Moving into the actual artist. Sean has done both of my larger tattoos and did a absolutely phenomenal job at taking what I wanted and making it truly unique. He’s incredibly talented (as I’m sure they all are there).

Something to keep in mind is that they are private and busy. They are definitely Michigan’s best. So bare in mind you might not get a tattoo “now”. If you want something on your body for the rest of your life, you’ll want it done right, and that’s what they’ll do. So be patient, mindful, and respectful during the process!...
