Sure, here’s a refined version: Dune Deck Café in Lantana, FL, is the kind of place that effortlessly balances laid-back charm with great food and a view that just doesn’t quit. I stopped by recently for lunch, and it was a reminder of why this spot has stayed a local favorite for years. The meal kicked off with a plate of clams that were everything you want them to be—plump, flavorful, and clearly fresh. Next came shrimp that had just the right snap, the kind that makes you pause and appreciate the fact that nothing here feels rushed or pre-made. Both were perfectly prepared, letting the natural flavors shine. For the main course, I went with the fish and chips. Classic, sure, but when it’s done this well, it feels like a luxury. The fish was golden and crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. Paired with fries that managed to hit that elusive sweet spot between crispy and fluffy, it was simple but satisfying. What really ties the Dune Deck together is its atmosphere. Sitting there, looking out at the Atlantic, you realize how rare it is to find a place that’s unpretentious yet still delivers on quality. The staff is attentive without hovering, and the prices feel refreshingly reasonable for a waterfront spot. After all these years, Dune Deck hasn’t lost what makes it special: a commitment to doing things right without overcomplicating them. It’s a great reminder that sometimes, all you need is a view, a breeze, and food that’s fresh and made to order. If you haven’t been in a while—or ever—it’s worth stopping by. Some places just know how to get it right, and Dune Deck is definitely one of them.

Now this restaurant really has some spectacular views of the water. If you're looking for some ocean views, then this really checks that box off. Really has those vacation vibes. Our waitress was kind enough to move us to a table right by the edge closest to the water. We ordered some cocktails to kick off our beachy lunch. I had the Dune Deck's Lemonade (vodka, blue curacao, lemonade) which was okay. Downside is that the ice melts and makes the drink watery. So halfway through the drink wasn't as tasty anymore. But thats Florida for you. For entree I got the fish and chips and I was shocked with the portion sizes. The portions were HUGE!! I had 4 pieces of fried fish with fries, a side of coleslaw and a pickle! It was quite a lot of food. The fish was delicious. It was fried perfectly and had really good flavor. The fries were also great. And the coleslaw had a delicious taste. The pickle was slightly soggy. Could've done without that on the plate tbh. Also parking is very easy! Large parking lot with pay-by-phone. So it’s pretty easy to find a spot. Overall pretty good place to have some drinks and food with a nice view!

Gorgeous view and breeze! Our server, Victoria was delightful! She started a conversation asking where we are from and she said she’s from Montreal. My husband told her we are going there in September…she didn’t just mention things to do, she actually wrote down suggestions and told us so many helpful things 😊. I just wish I listened to her when ordering. We opted to share the tropical French toast special and in hind sight, I think she may have been trying to steer us away from it and get the creme brûlée French toast special because she has so many details about that, but unenthusiastic about the tropical. If that’s the case, she was spot on. The French toast had no flavor and extremely dry, they tried to toast coconut on top and it was overdone. The fruit were overripe bananas, strawberries, and pineapple. I did not enjoy it at all, but I would try this place again for a different kind of food.

I had the filet mignon gyro cooked to a medium, and it was simply fantastic. Even though I arrived when my party almost finished eating, the server took my order and gave me an estimated time of arrival which was accurate to the minute! I couldn't find my picture of the beach, but the view was great. My server loudly chatted it up with some other patrons and bartenders which is fine because my group was having a meeting. He was still polite and helpful. However, I did not like how a manager in a white t-shirt stood very close by, almost watching over us the entire time. She was attentive to our needs, but seemed like she was eavesdropping. I don't want to dock stars off because I came here for food before service, but that seemingly nosy worker lacked understanding social cues. No other waiter was standing near any other tables. They were busy, but she just stood there most of the time.

We went fairly late towards closing at around 345pm. They close at around 430. The beautiful ocean front views are incomparable! Customers be advised this is a cash only facility and while they do have an atm there, the atm did have issues (didnt give me the money i withdrew and while it noted it on the receipt that it was due to a machine error, it still is processing the withdrawal from my bank account for the full amount which i now have to follow up with my bank about.) The service was great. We were seated quickly and the waitress took our orders promptly. The food was fresh and those fries were tasty. I had the fish and chips and my partner had the blackened mahi sandwich. The key lime pie martini was tasty with a graham cracker rim, lime, vodka and key lime cream. Overall it was worth the experience. Total about 67.00 for two plates, two beers, and a martini.
