Mexico Lindo Lapeer — Restaurant in Lapeer

I guess I'm going to go against the grain a bit. Overall it was OK. The rice is dry and bland. The beef tacos taste and texture is like something from Taco Bell specially the super fine "beef". Also the beef is super greasy and not drained well so the taco soft shells are soaked in grease. The "mild" sauce isn't so mild. Tolerable but def not mild. The atmosphere is blah. Feels like they moved right in slapped some paint on the walls and called it a day. Worn booths, sloppy decor. Cables exposed all over. Tiny one person bathroom with tiles alrdy loose on floor. Just poorly done. Cheap home depot blinds that barely fit the windows, which yes the decor isnt the end all be all but it adds the the experience. They wipe down the tables fast but leave food and even silverware on the floor for the next guest. Seen a few ppl leave with lots food left on their plate which imo isn't a good sign. Tbh we won't be back we will go back to Pueblo Viejo in lapeer. Much better. And server forgot to give us silverware, and sour cream. Just to many hiccups and ok food for us to come back. Alot ppl seem to love it so that's good for them. Im starting to think lapeer people don't really know good food and places when they see it lol. Oh and their prices I will say are very good so that's a plus. But so are other places in lapeer with better food atmosphere...

Went today to see what Mexico Lindo is all about. Service was outstanding, prompt and friendly. Food came very quickly. Overall impression was this restaurant is trying very hard to excel and puts a lot of flavor into all their food. First the salsa was very good, nice flavor and consistency. My wife had the combo dinner of taco and ground beef burrito, she was very happy with her main food. Somewhat unique but good sauce; she liked her rice and beans though I feel they need some work. While fine, they didn't have the flavor wow of the main dishes. My opinion is the restaurant could intensify the flavor of the rice and beans and it'll be a home run. Foe me, I had the tamal, chicken enchilada and ground beef burrito and thought the flavors, presentation and quality were very good to excellent. Some of the better service we have gotten in a while. Overall 4.5 of 5, work on beans and rice, flavors overall are great. Best wishes to...

I do not understand the people of Lapeer. I don't know if the smoke shops on every block has lowered the average person's standards for service, because I am baffled at the 4 star reviews. I am unsure I even walked into the same building, because the service was terrible. The lady taking names couldn't spell my name, let that sink in. It's 4 damn letters. The decor was drab and weird and my server could barely understand me nor speak English at an even understandable level. I love broken English I find it great but when you can only babble one or two words it's different. The food was mid tier the carnita tacos I had were very bland just unseasoned and greasy. So, don't go to Mexico Lindo it's not worth the money...
