Saturday 6.4.22 went for the first time to Cosmos and was Very Disappointed. The Appletini was ok, then ordered the cucumber martini n it tasted old n it was more like shake type. I told Jose our waiter I didn’t like it so he asked me if I wanted a different drink So I ordered a cosmo but it was kinda thick too but better than the cucumber. The Dr Pepper was flat. I ordered the mahi mahi dinner n the fish was bland. The mash potatoes were tasteless. The only good side dish on my plate was the asparagus. We was a table of 8 n all first timers were disappointed. And to add to all this, they didn’t want to take off the cucumber martini that non of us liked. I was like, Seriously?! Unfortunately was not worth the time n $ we all spent here. Never again, this place it’s suppose to b Bougie, it must b just for the few Laredo people that don’t know what Bougie is…not offense to no one but I am from Laredo but spent 40 yrs n Dallas. Sorry guys, again no offend to no one….
Owner response: We're disappointed you didn't ask for a Manager Saturday as our #1 goal is always customer satisfaction. There was no indication from you during your visit you were-unsatisfied with your meal, but your photos look like your group enjoyed themselves. took the liberty of researching your check and I can assure you that you were not charged for the cucumber martini nor Dr. Pepper.
O PLacencia response 7.29.22 I find it very tacky that instead of owning the errors of our first and last encounter you attack me and assume because our pictures show us having a good time! Mr. Owner, my friends and I would have fun anywhere we go but that doesn’t mean we will be returning to Cosmos ever again. I certainly did not understand what all the hype was all about it turned out to be as bland as the food and drinks were. I now replaced my 2 stars to 1 . And to the Owner, maybe you should have come to the table and see how we were doing. We were the biggest party you had that evening . Hope...
Read moreCosmos is famous for its night scene and shaking up hips and taste buds.
Duck wings, fajita & pico de gallo pizza and cheesecake chimichangas sated my appetite. The wings do not come wet but with sauces on the side, and while that may jar one's expectations, I must say this new take on serving wings is refreshing and superior to what we’re all accustomed to. I had traditional buffalo and mango habanero. The wings are quite ample so alternating dips pleasantly harmonizes one’s tastebuds with contrasting indulgences. In layman’s terms, mix and match to your tongue's delight.
On the Texas border, fajita is everything. Sunday skies are aerated with the aroma of carne asada while smoke stack brush strokes graze the horizon. Daniel Windle has blended American and Mexican culture perfectly with his fajita & pico de gallo pizzas. The zing of the pico de gallo and spice of the meat are right at home nestled in the bed of cheese and tomato sauce. America is no stranger to unorthodox pizza toppings. Goodbye pineapple and ham, hello “faja pizza” (for my non-regional readers faja is a border colloquialism for fajita).
Got a sweet tooth? Look no further than their cheesecake infused chimichangas. This guilty pleasure rounds out the spectrum of flavor, complementing the savory entrees without the heaviness that comes with traditional offerings like cake. Over the years I've delighted in all of Cosmos’ offerings. The place lives up to its motto you “go home...
Read moreI'm Dr. Eric Serrano and regular night customer of Cosmos. I like the food and the treatment of their employees. The bartenders Luis, Ian, Omar and others treat customers very well. The chef Luis very attentive and excellent chef.On Sundays I'm out of the gym and regularly visit there with a guest, I never had trouble with muscle shirt , until today. Today they wouldn't let me in because the new Mens policy not to go in that kind of dress. I had a bad time with my guest. The new manager didn't offer me , as a regular customer a chance or a choice but to get the hell out of the place. If you are to be a first - class restaurant, you must act as a restaurant first, put the rules in a sign at the entrance. Offer to the regular clients an alternative like a shirt in what people learn about new changes. If you want to act as a restaurant, you must also change music to a more appropriate like lounge music , or relax music not hip hop. It was a disrespect from my guest that I had already spoken to him to eat there. I had in the car a T - shirt and I changed it. I didn't go anywhere else. The “restaurant “ or the Bar , must have a better understanding for the managers. I know the new manager who was a waiter at border foundry and act like doesn’t have a...
