First time visit today (10/15/21) and it was worth the stop. Ordered the Trompo de Sirloin tacos (3) and they were delicious, perhaps the best in town, and I’ve lived here 23 years. The plate comes with three tacos with the meat of your choice on double corn tortillas. In effect, there is enough meat to make six small tacos, which is what I did. It was enough to satisfy my [very hungry] appetite. The tacos also come with chopped onions and cilantro, as well as a tray of various sauces indexed from spicy to mild. Of course there are also various other items on the menu that I will be anxious to try on future visits. The establishment is new and very accessible, and I was gratified to walk into a restaurant with clean floors and tables, in contrast to many other restaurants in Laredo. The ambience was very nice with large windows and bright lighting. I ate indoors, but there is also a very attractive outdoor patio area for patrons. I was attended by Diego who saw to all my needs while I dined, and my food was delivered very promptly to my table and still hot. For a first time visit, it was a perfect experience and I’ll...
Read moreI had been wanting to try out this place for a looong time just from the pictures I’ve seen on IG; but every time I’d want to come.. the place was quite busy! Man was I missing out. My family and I walked in not knowing what to expect, we were treated in the friendliest way and when asked to know a little bit of the menu since it was our first time, the waiter was EXTRA patient and so welcoming when describing everything on there! We obviously ordered a little bit of everything — everything was exceptionally delicious! Great seasoning, flavor, warmth, and best of all — looks JUST like the pictures in which the food is advertised. The staff was very courteous and attentive at all moments. Not once did we have to ask for a refill, as it was immediately noticed and taken care of when needed; even though they were slightly busy. This is definitely a place I’d come back with my family or with friends! I’m excited to be back and share this restaurant with others!!! Which I would have taken a picture of ALL of our tacos/...
Read moreThe food is really good and as authentic as it can get this side of the border. My reason for only giving it 3 stars is because of two important things. 1st is price. i’m ok paying more for good food, but tacos should never be expensive. 2nd is options, specifically on the order of 3 tacos. You’re not allowed to mix and match. That is a failed opportunity on business. it was my first time to that place and i wanted to taste different tacos. in this case i wanted to taste 3 different tacos, but since they don’t allow to mix and match, i would need to pay $33 for 3 different types of tacos instead of $11 for mixed types of tacos in 1 order. what if i didn’t like a couple of tacos, i would have overpayed by at least $22. Tremendo tacos, be tremendo and allow to mix and match on 1 order of tacos and lower the price or add a side like beans and a drink at least. $11 for 3 tacos is...
