Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Laredo

I ordered the regular original Italian. The deli girl asked me if I wanted it "Mike's Way." I didn't understand her at first since she was saying it quickly. I told her I'd like it the normal way which I later noticed was Mike's Way. As I was waiting for my sandwich to be made, I noticed a sticker explaining what Mike's Way was.

I normally don't eat raw onions but decided to give it a shot, hoping they would be thinly sliced.

The sub was delicious! I could have stopped eating after I finished half of it, but it was so good I couldn't help myself and ate the other half.

The sub was better than any meal I've had at a restaurant over the last several months. I'll definitely be going back and trying more.

We went a little bit before closing so we took our food to go and ate in the back of our truck. We were enjoying the food and the weather outside. One of the employees, not sure what his name was but he had long hair in a bun, approached us and gave us free cookies and sandwich coupons. He apologized for the service which was uncalled for because we did not think we had rude service at all! We thanked him and really appreciated the gesture! I'm sure I'm in the minority here but can they just make my food, I pay, then leave. I answered four questions about my weekend plans and work schedule before ordering the sandwich. The food is great the but I could do without the over-the-top, fake friendly atmosphere. I only have 30 minutes to eat and I'm not really in the mood to answer a bunch of nonsense on my lunch break. I'm sure this review may sound cold and transactional but that's exactly what it is...a business...
