La Laguna Mariscos and Sushi — Restaurant in Laredo

Terrible service. I requested an alcoholic drink that takes 2 minutes to make which took 25 minutes. I requested to cancel the drink and it came out in one minute. I had to flag down the waiter for anything. I did not receive any chips at the start. I believe the head managers had to come for every request. There was a live band and most workers were talking to each other instead of working.

I’ve been coming here since they opened this location and service has decreased immensely. My shrimp plate has had a major decrease! I ordered el gobernador, now the shrimp are small size and no bell peppers on it. Very disappointing, taste is not the same. I will not...

The waitress was courteous with refills but lacked on suggesting menu items. My son and I decided to go for the mariscada for 2, his girlfriend went for a sushi roll. We also got 3 small shrimp cocktails. Then my son added 4 oysters to the mariscada plate, to our surprise each oyster was 6.50$ a piece. I was displeased with the amount of time it took to get the sushi plate. My son and I received our the mariscada, but the sushi took an additional 30 minutes to arrive. This sevivce needs attention. The food is always delicious, but the service can be hit or miss—sometimes it’s quick, other times it takes longer than expected. The atmosphere is generally good, though I tend to avoid Thursdays due to the live music, which can get extremely loud for my taste. The volume needs to be dialed down a bit, as it’s too overpowering for the size of the restaurant. Once the music starts, it’s nearly impossible to have a conversation.
