I rarely leave reviews, but this place absolutely deserves it. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed—stylish, modern, and full of good energy. Every detail thoughtfully put together.
The menu is a standout—modern, creative, and rooted in authentic Mexican flavors you don’t find just anywhere.
We started with several appetizers, and my personal favorites were the tiradito de queso panela, the ceviche, and the camote & chorizo sopes—each one packed with flavor and beautifully presented. For my main, I had the duck confit mole—a dish that truly stands out and reflects just how special this kitchen is. Every entrée we ordered was unique, authentic, and executed perfectly.
And don’t skip dessert—the flan with mazapán is to die for, and the arroz con leche crème brûlée is such a creative twist on a classic.
The staff was attentive, warm, and genuinely seemed happy to be there, which added to the overall great vibe. For a restaurant that’s only been open a few days, they’re already running like a well-oiled machine.
So glad we found this spot—we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend checking it out before it gets too hard...
Read moreMy family and I recently dined at Casa Azul for the first time, and unfortunately, it will also be our last. The overall experience was highly disappointing, and I cannot recommend this establishment to others. The total bill came to $350, which felt unjustified given the small portion sizes and extremely limited menu options. Despite the 45-minute wait for our food, the plates that arrived were meager in size. Throughout the meal, our lemonades were never refilled—not once—despite multiple opportunities for the staff to do so. The service was notably unprofessional. After the long delay, we were made to feel rushed once the food finally arrived. The waitstaff displayed an attitude of condescension, behaving as though we should feel privileged to dine there, despite their lack of ownership or investment in delivering a positive experience. In summary, Casa Azul charges premium prices but fails to provide commensurate value in food quality, portion size, menu variety, or customer service. I strongly advise against dining here unless one is prepared to pay a significant amount for an underwhelming and...
Read moreThe restaurant has a beautiful, modern-contemporary vibe with a vibrant Mexican flair — the art and color scheme really bring the space to life. The menu is simple, easy to read, and well-curated. The main dishes focus on traditional Mexican cuisine, with creative touches from other international flavors. I ordered the Pato en mole, which was described as French-inspired with a Mexican twist. The mole itself was rich and flavorful, but the duck didn’t quite meet the expectations I had for a French-influenced dish — it lacked the refinement I was hoping for. As for the pricing, I felt it was a bit high for what was offered. Portion sizes are okay, but the overall experience didn’t fully align with the price point. I also tried the ceviche, which is meant to be inspired by Peruvian leche de tigre. Unfortunately, it leaned too heavily on the lemon, making it overly sour and missing the balance that makes Peruvian ceviche so special. I think there’s room for improvement there. Overall, the atmosphere and concept are great, but a few adjustments in the kitchen could really take it to...
