First of all we called early about reservations and was told that 645p was available. When we arrived about 635p we waited and then were told it would be a bit before seated at 646p. It kept getting pushed back and then finally about 720 to 725p we were seated. We then began to order our beverages, only to find out no sweet tea is offered along with nothing else but Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite, all of which I do not drink. So I settled for ice water. A few minutes later they took our requests for dinner, so I ordered Angel Hair pasta with meat sauce and meatballs. Wasooking very forward to it as I heard this Italian restaurant was a very good one with much of the food was like home prepared. It arrived and took my first bite and the meat sauce tasted sweet?? When the waitress walked by she asked if there was a problem and I said yes, the meat tasted sweet. A friend at the table confirmed it was and that it was cinnamon???? The waitress then asked the chef it it was confirmed cinnamon we'd came back and said yes it was. Really???? Why in the world was this placed in an Italian sauce???? So the waitress did pull off the bill which was appreciated and then offered something else. By this time was getting late and said no to any replacement. I had a bean and pork suit coming, which was supposed to be before the main dish anyway, so ate it and was good. But did ask instead of it if I could get the Pasta E Fagoili instead and she said it could not be offered since was an appetizer only. Would have been nice if that could have been offered instead of the other soup which I was not familiar with. Another eggrolls, with the group ordered angel hair pasta with vodka sauce and had bacon in it. He was aware but again, it was not what he was used to from all other Italian restaurants. I now have encountered three different types of food with cinnamon placed in it. In eggrolls, then taco meat at a other restaurant and then finally here. Not sure what the deal is with cinnamon in foods that you expect to be what they are without adding a spice...

It was a friend's birthday and her recommendation. She has dined here a few times. We had a planned birthday party for 18 at this restaurant for two weeks. Called and confirmed we were 16 an hour+ before we arrived. Just FYI, most of us have some type of hospitality experience. We sat down at a very tight table up against a wall (ample room available, no room to pass). It took 30+ minutes to take our orders and then finally receive the smallest bread basket and the tiniest olive oil dish for dipping I have ever seen. We had only one server, no bus person, no expediters, very poor planning on kitchen staff's part. Waters and bread basket constantly empty. Iceberg lettuce salad⦠who serves iceberg lettuce salad in an italian restaurant? Two of us ordered the veal scallopini, two different versions/offerings on the menu and we were not provided with a choice by our very inexperienced server. As a result, the dish came out with some type of red sauce, menu made no mention of red sauce or olives on menu(???) on either option offered. However, the food wasn't bad and reasonable portion, but not what was ordered. One order of Chicken Marsala was under cooked (pink chicken), another person asked for light garlic and received a mound of garlic piled of on their meal and sent it back. By the time five of us were served and finished our meal, the last three in our party (on a young child) finally received their meal (Pizza!). Poor planning on both the management/wait staff and chef/kitchen for large party. One couple asked for the bill to be split on two cards, and the owner gave a hard time. Many people were drinking the same type of wine, they should have offered us bottles rather than half splits⦠Maybe for a small party, when not busy this place is good, but this restaurant is ill-equipped for large parties. I don't plan on going back. No pics because we were so annoyed. I left the obligatory 20% tip which killed me.... I usually leave 25% for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCocky waiter and awful food. Tired interior. If you want a pizza or something drowning in red sauce, maybe ok but my meal was sadly inedible. Went for a birthday celebration for my elderly parent that had previously been to this restaurant but not with incident ( plastic glove finger found in meal).. but wanted to return for her friendās birthday. We had called ahead to ask about a slice of cake and candle. Was assured it would be accommodated. We were seated in the front of the restaurant because several large parties were occupying the back and it was absolutely freezing. We ordered the special Fritto Misto for the table.. (No prices on the specials board so beware) Extremely over salted and only had a few calamari slices and a couple of shrimp and a lot of pieces of cod or some other fish. Not worth $18. The Caesar salad included with the meal was lettuce with Caesar salad dressing drizzled on it. One of my guests asked for onions on their house salad and when we got the bill they had charged an extra $1.50 for 2 pieces of raw onion. Seriously? Wine by the glass choice is limited to a house big bottle brand. The veal piccata with sautĆ©ed spinach was gray in appearance with a very tough texture.and tasted like it had been cooked in the microwave. It had a glutinous texture, as though it had been floured or the sauce had been thickened. Just inedible. My guest ordered eggplant parm which he enjoyed. So maybe stick to pizza or the cliche Italian dishes and youāll be okay.
When asked about the birthday cake, the waiter said they didnāt have cake but had tiramisu and no candle ($8 added to the bill) Now, Iām not from the area but it seems when.you have a longstanding patron (guest) celebrating a 90th birthday, you can comp the cake and not charge $1.50 for an onion slice. No amount of cocky joking from the waiter would make any of this better. Would...
