PINELLAS PIZZERIA — Restaurant in Largo

This is not an easy place to open a pizzeria in my opinion. There is a lot of competition in this area. You need something to set yourself aside from the other pizza places around. This place does a great job doing so. I’m usually a fan of New York style thin crust pizza, but that’s because I’m used to it. I think this place is more of a Chicago style place, with thicker dough and cross cut slices. Not a deep dish pie though.

This place has thicker dough, which I usually do not like… BUT this place’s dough, sauce, and cheese taste amazing, so I actually like their thick good tasting dough that crisps on the edges and was cooked perfectly to my liking. I’m picky about pizza. I don’t care about price as long as quality is good. And I’m not sure what brand cheese they use, but it tastes good in my opinion. I’ve ordered at places around here that use horrible mozzarella cheese and that just ruins the whole pie.

Another good note; they do NOT use corn meal on the peel to put the pizza in the oven. I hate corn meal, it makes pizza crust like sand paper. The old owners of the restaurant that used to be there ruined their pizza with corn meal (I used to work there lol…). These guys definitely make a good pizza!

I ordered a large Hawaiian pizza. Ham and pineapple. I didn’t ask for square cut, but I’m happy it came that way because that’s my preference and it’s easier to share.

The pictures of food on Grubhub looked great and I look forward to trying egg plant and chicken parmigiana, Alfredo, calzones, and salads. I will 5 star you guys on Grubhub as soon as they allow ratings. They wouldn’t let me review on Grubhub tonight. This is my new favorite pizza in the area. Man that crust… I might have to eat...

I didn't get my pizza, never got a call back. i called them, they told me i could get a refund or get the pizza another day I said another day. I paid SIX FIFTY delivery fee to their website. when i called for pizza they said they cant doordash it and i need to pick it up or refund. im like wow thanks a lot im getting a refund a week later and not even today. cool. thats so lame you should be trying to impress the customer not this. EDIT: so Arthur called me minutes after I left this review and instead of being mature he started screaming and told me never to order again. I was respectful the entire time but he thinks im not entitled to a google review. maybe he should get off his phone and make pizzas instead. Edit 2: the issue i raised, Arthur, wasnt my cancelled order and you know that, stop playing the victim. its ok you cancelled my order but making me pick up something i paid for delivery isnt right and getting visceral on the phone because i wasnt satisfied is immature. also it wasnt a hurricane, it was a tropical rainstorm and it was 100 miles away. I dont want to order anymore from a place whos owner speaks in this way if he cant call me himself and settle our disagreement like any business owner should...
