So I've been coming here for quite some time due to work and each time I try something different.
The restaurant itself is great, the location, could be better, but have never had any trouble inside. Service has been excellent, friendly waitresses, and they're pretty prompt. So no complaints there.
The food: mind you each plate is about $10+ but it is a lot of food. While comparing to fast food restaurants nowadays where everything is also $10+, I'd rather have this. With that being said, the food has been incredible. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, not New Mexican food, there's a difference, you must come here. The rice, beans, and handmade tortillas have been great. The menudo/posole is nothing to complain about, tacos are good, and so has everything else.
The star of the show, personally to me, is their mega burrito. It's about $14 but I call it the 5 day burrito, since it can literally feed you for 5 days. Them bringing it out, I thought they brought a full freshly caught salmon, wrapped it in foil and put it on a plate. I was shocked at how ginourmous this thing was. It literally has a full Mexican dinner wrapped up inside of it. It has your choice of meat, rice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, weenie, mayonnaise, the past, present and future wrapped up in one giant tortilla. It won't disappoint.
Oh and not to mention inside they have a full salsa bar. So all in all, would recommend this place over...
Read moreThis place was horrible. I should have known this was not a great restaurant when I walked in and all the tables were dirty. Still sat down and gave it a try. The waitress was a bit rude. I ordered the Flautas de res and my girlfriend ordered a Chile relleno burrito. Both dishes came with rice and beans. The Flautas came with a choice of a side. I got the caldo. For drinks I got a coke and she had water. The waitress then brought me the caldo which was not even warm at all. Yuck. The plates came and we began to eat. From this time till the time it was to pay, the waitress did not come to check up on us or refill our drinks. The food could have tasted better if it wasn't for the fact that they were cold, like maybe they don't how to heat things. The cheese on the beans and in the burrito didn't even show signs of melting. If it was possible to rate this place a .5 stars I would. Oh I forgot to mention, after we ordered, two couples came in at different times and turned around and walked out. Should have seen that as a sign. Horrible experience and will never return here again. Oh, the restrooms were...
Read moreAwful experience last time I went. I used to go to Burritos Victoria often because I enjoyed the atmosphere, but this will be the last time I go. Our server was really nice, but the rest of the staff (including the "manager") sucked! Waited 10 minutes to get our orders in, and when they brought my food out, it was way too spicy (there was no sign on the menu indicating it is spicy, and it usually does). When I asked if I could exchange my food for something else without any chile, the manager first said "sure not a problem!" and let me pick. I sat down. 15 minutes later I get approached and she says "we're going to have to charge you for BOTH of those burritos." Seriously? She had just told me explicitly she wasn't going to charge extra. You made the mistake and I have to pay for both? So I said never mind, I didn't want anything else from them. We paid and left for the last time.
TL;DR version: Manager made a false promise to exchange my sub-par food without charge. Still tried charging me. Don't waste your time...
