The drive through cashier was a joke. She didn't know what sweet potato fries were. Frustrating. First, I ask for sweet potato fries and she said "cross cut fries?" I said "no, sweet potato fries." She said "fried zucchini?" I said "no, don't you have sweet potato fries anymore?" She said "do you want zucchini?" I looked on the menu and said "oh, I see they aren't there anymore... I didn't realize you stopped serving them." Then, I ordered the veggie burger that my husband heard they were giving away as a special at participating Carls Juniors and Natural Grocers, and she charged me full price. I asked why, and she said "pull to the window." Then proceeded to tell me "you didn't say Happy Birthday" so I"m charging you full price. I said my husband told me about it and wanted to try them since he knew I liked veggie burgers (just having tried Sunset Grill's veggie - the best in the world, especially with a green chili on top) a few days ago, and she said "well, you'll just have to tell your husband, blah blah blah." I said "f it" just give me the food I ordered. She said "why do you have to be so rude" coming from a lady that doesn't know what sweet potato fries are and kept asking if I was referring to zucchini... I said "just give me my f'ing food so I can get out of here. I'm not going to go home and tell my husband he screwed up because you won't give me the deal." She then said "I'm not going to serve you," and closed the window... keeping my $40 I paid for a $22 bill. I called the manager, Alejandra, and she said "you were rude." I said yes, I was, but she was difficult at best and she kept my $40. She said "no, she gave you back your money." I said "at what point, after she closed the window and refused me service did she give me back my original $40?" After fighting with her on the phone, I went home and my husband called and fought with her. She would not let my husband get a word in edgewise, as though he was obligated to listen to her and she refused to count the money in her till and she refused to admit that they had my $40. We complained with their corporate office but she still refused to admit that they had my money until finally she said that he could come and pick it up. He said "I'm disabled, I can't drive, I can't come only my wife can come and pick up the money." She refused to mail it back to us so I was forced to go through the drive through again. I finally went to another Carls, got what I was supposed to get in the first place, and then went to pick up my $40. The manager refused to face me and sent someone I did not recognize, Becca, who was very nice... not the stupid cashier that didn't know sweet potatoes from zucchini. What is my point to all of this? First, the cashier at the window had no right to get in my face after refusing to give the deal and ask me what my problem was, nor did she have the right to tell me to go home and tell my husband that because of him, we didn't get the deal, etc. Then, the manager? She was not customer service friendly, either. She not only couldn't face me, but she stood by the cashier who had no business being in customer service if she's going to get into people's faces after being rude to them and ask them why they are being so rude? Neither of these people should be in a position of customer service. What ever happened to the customer is always right? I will never go back to that location, and it was just built on the corner of Sonoma Ranch where I live. It's a shame people like this are hired to do a job they are incapable of doing. All the manager did was argue with my husband and then they wonder why I lost my cool and used a word I very rarely use in the first place unless you really make me angry. I would blame Alejandra for her inability to resolve this situation with me or my husband. She is incapable of handling a position in management. She doesn't make up for her employee's mistakes, she stands by them and argues with everyone else, even when she knew she had my $40 she lied about it again and again. BAD...
Read moreAgain Jason was great answered all my menu questions patiently even though he had several cars coming and going in drive through. Noticed seem to be 2 other people there but didn't do much involving customers while I was there. Looked like they might have been doing some of the shift cleaning so he was handling everything else, like taking and making orders for counter as well as drive-through. One more comment if I can. I have people in my family who have not only been fast food workers but servers at larger restaurant chains and among my many jobs over the years have been in different forms of retail sales and if you don't show a person like this how much he's appreciated with monetary rewards and respect you'll lose him and for your company that would be a shame. Again Jason keep up the good work it was very much...
Read moreDon't expect them to move an inch on fixing an issue. I go here regularly, usually decent experience. I got coupons and decided to use one. 1 free fry 1 free drink, small, with the purchase of a Angus thick. Fair enough. Use the coupon. Drive through says the total and I think it's high, I ask if that is w/the discount. She says yes. I pay and get the receipt where only the fries were free. I point the receipt and ask for the coupon back. And say what it says. She's basically like... So... I punched it in, this what it is. Obviously this is not the deal spelled out on the coupon. So I said then I guess I'll just take my money back ,this is not the deal stated. Manager comes, refunds me cash. Doesn't even ask me of the issue. I still would have been down for my deal, will never come back here...
