We arrived and were promptly seated at 9pm. The restaurant closes at 10pm. Plenty of time to eat. Right from the start we were treated in a way that made us feel unwelcome. An inconvenience. Josh, our server, didn't want us there and he did his best to make the experience miserable. Leaving before we had finished our orders. Throwing straws at us. Asking us to help clear the table. I thanked him and his response was "yup."
Fast forward to 10pm we had finished eating and had paid. The manager came to the table while I was signing the check and said "I'm going to have to ask you to finish up and leave." We were out the door by 1006pm. I've never in my life been treated this way. We were all confused as to why. We said and did nothing wrong or inappropriate. Just plain rude behavior on their part. We will never return and I suggest everyone find a place to eat where they will be respected. Josh cost himself a tip, and I always tip 20% or more. Both Josh and his manager should be fired immediately. I will be calling the store owner tomorrow to see what he or she has to...
Read moreI regret to say that my experience at The Game was nothing short of dismal. The food, an essential cornerstone of any dining establishment, was served in a state that could only be described as frigid. Each dish, from the appetizers to the entrees, arrived at the table seemingly fresh from an extended stint in the freezer rather than the kitchen. A culinary catastrophe, to put it mildly.
As for the service, it left much to be desired. The staff exuded an air of indifference that bordered on negligence. Simple requests, such as the refill of a glass of water or the retrieval of missing utensils, were met with either prolonged delays or outright disregard. It was as if attentiveness and hospitality had been intentionally omitted from the training manual.
In summation, The Game is a place I would not recommend to even my most forgiving acquaintances. A restaurant that fails both in the preparation of its fare and the treatment of its patrons is, quite frankly, an establishment that has lost the...
Read moreTried dining on Valentines day 2023, just me and my daughter. She had chicken strips, I had nothing, as I have a gluten allergy. When I placed my food order, I asked the server, a younger gentleman, if the ranch dressing has gluten. Several minutes later the server returned stating the following: That he was very sorry, but his manager had caught him looking at ingredient labels and told him that he had to say this: That "It's not 'our' jobs to know if there is gluten in our food" and "that no-one really knows what gluten is, anyways"...
This is terrifying. This is absurd. This is someone with a food allergy's greatest fear. This is blatant incompetence demonstrated by the manager on duty that night.
I waited for my daughter to finish her $10 dollar chicken tender, which she loved, but then I left hungry. Happy Valentines day to me.
Can I suggest doing some basic training on food allergens with your management team? You are really going to hurt someone through your...
