Received another call from the owner after filing a formal complaint with Dairy Queen as directed, and Mike was very rude. His reasons for refusing to make the tacos have changed again. I told him he didn't need to call me and waste his breath, and he said, "Then we are done talking," and he hung up on me. He's very unprofessional and shouldn't be in customer service!! Dairy Queen needs to look at their franchisees!! Mike and Dairy Queen have lost my business!!
I've been going to Dairy Queen to purchase eighteen tacos at least once or twice per week, but I request a whole hamburger patty cut in half and both halves placed in each taco. I've been doing this for months because they said they could substitute the taco meat with a hamburger patty. The taco meat is cold and tastes nasty, which is why I like the hamburger patties. I went in yesterday for a remake of their tacos like management told me to do because the cooks made a mistake on my order, and they only put half of a hamburger patty per taco. Yesterday, I was treated like a thief for requesting a remake of my tacos after being instructed to do this by management. I was told they wouldn't be able to make the tacos like this anymore because they are not formulary. Mike, the owner said he can not sell me tacos with a hamburger patty going forward because he will lose his ability to sell tacos if he doesn't follow the franchise formulary. I explained to Mike that Dairy Queen in Deming made tacos like this for over 50 YEARS until they closed due to the previous owner's sudden death. I was so happy to have been able to have tacos like the ones I would have when I was a kid. The tacos are comfort food to me, and they reminded me of my late grandmother. Now, I've not only lost my grandmother, but I've lost the tacos, too. I even offered to pay more for the tacos this way, but Mike refuses to allow his employees to make the tacos this way going forward. I usually buy tacos, chili dogs, hamburgers, and a lot of ice cream. I called corporate and was told each location is independently owned and operated, and they can do what they want. I'm waiting to hear back from corporate. Unfortunately, Mike has lost my business over his handling of this and his refusal to make the tacos this way...
Read moreI went to this location twice because I wanted to give it a fair chance. First of all itâs ridiculous that itâs not clearly indicated on the sign that there are no food options here. On our first visit it took us 15 minutes to get a small cherry dipped cone. Ten minutes in the front desk girl told us âsorry, the ice cream is coming out of the machine like waterâ. Not her fault, but not appetizing to hear. On our second visit, we went through the drive through and after we said our order, there was no response. We drove to the window and the guy said âsorry my headset messed upâ. This is a new location, why is your staff already dealing with these issues? We then pulled forward and waited probably ten minutes for two dipped cones, then the girl passed us one cone that was half dipped and the other was melting all over the place. If ice cream is all you are doing, why is it still so bad? I will drive to the other location...
Read moreI was excited when Diary Queen opened up near me. I have been addicted to ice cream cones for decades and about 2-3 times a week, I drive through and my cone. A couple days ago, I accidently forgot my wallet at home, so I scrounged all over my car to find the exact change, ordered my cone and was told the price of a small cone was now $3.01. I had $2.87. I told the lady that I am a frequent customer and had the right amount for the old price and nothing more. She said the cost is $3.01 again. I asked if she was going to throw the cone away and she said yes and that she could get me a child's cone...WHAT kind of customer service is this???? SO, now we have a cone in the trash can and a customer that will never return to this particular address. I didn't expect the ice cream cones to go up in price this fast after opening. I will NOT be going back to this particular Diary...
