Now I've always liked Dominos especially for their cheesy bread. Nobody does it like they do. It had been a while since I'd had it, so last week Sunday I decided to place an order online and pick it up myself. This was my first time ordering from this location. So I get there and see this ad plastered on the drive-thru window for soda. 2 20oz OR 1 2L for $2.99. I asked the gentleman who came up to the window if the ad was accurate and he said yes. So I asked for 2 20oz sodas (I'd paid for my food online already). He told me my total was something around $6. I said hold on... why? He said I ordered 2 20oz sodas. I referred him to the ad that was staring at me. He informed me that ONE 2L soda OR ONE 20oz soda was $2.99. OK... I know I can read and I see what the sign says. This man proceeds to tell me something about the corporate office printing out ads and not letting the local business know and blah blah blah. I told him "look... you said the ad was current. I need you to honor it." He refused to honor what the ad said and proceeded to sell me ONE 20oz soda for $2.49. Even after I advised him that is grounds for a lawsuit. He was like "I know." Now... God is on his side because I don't have the time nor desire to pursue a lawsuit because of $2.49 loss. However, I think it is completely unacceptable to falsely advertise things. And extremely unethical to treat a customer like I was when all I am doing is asking for the thing that you are advertising. My issue lies with the quality checks purported to be conducted with each and every order to ensure the customer gets exactly what they want. I ordered some additional dipping sauces for my pizza and wings. I also left a comment in the Delivery Instructions to Verify said sauces before delivery. Lo and behold, I did not receive the sauces I ordered. I have had this problem with Dominos in two different states now. It seems to be a systemic problem that needs to be addressed with their staff.
