This review is a week overdue. I had placed a pickup through the drive-thru window for 11:37 am and when I had gotten there, there was maybe 4-5 cars ahead of me. A few more in a longer line than the other. I wouldâve gotten down eventually but I had my kiddo in the backseat, who didnât have shoes on and a car had already gotten behind me. A few minutes later the line still hadnât moved and the line that was once shorter was now equal to my line. It was about 12:00 pm and the line still hadnât moved. Nobody was outside, I figured they must be really short handed or training someone because it seemed that there was nobody. I remember the time because my wifeâs lunch was ready at 12 at Jimmy Johnâs and I knew I was going to be late. I saw that there was a shift change right around the same time and it was a girl with blonde hair and thick figure, who has been working there for awhile because I see her often. Dutch is my go to! I know one of their names but not trying to be so direct. Anyway her, a guy with a slim figure and somewhat tall, dark hair as well as another girl short with dark hair. They were leaving all giddy, as if they were making a break for it and whoever came in after them went outside with their tablets and started taking orders and the line started moving around 12:10 pm. I think majority of people had an online order because the workers seemed to moving on to each car with hardly any conversation. They did really good but you could tell thatâs not a way someone wants to start their shift. They already had a slight look of anxiousness and frustrated because that is what got passed down to them. I donât feel that the people working before the shift change set them up good, I donât even think they took any consideration for their co-workers. I am a patient person and I can wait for my coffee, it is more about how I felt these three handled this situation especially with one of them who has been here for awhile, she was not a team player that day and it was disappointing to see. There are many people I that I chat with when I go and I appreciate all their work so itâs sad to others not being apart of that system. Just with the two individuals going out and whoever started making the drinks the line started moving and I got my one drink by 12:27pm. Appreciate them for all their hard work just in that 30 min shift alone. Disappointed in the workers before shift change, do better and be a team player! This was last week...
Read moreSo, not seeing the point of wasting time and gas idling in Disney-level lines, I waited a bit before going to the new Dutch Bros. In Las Cruces. Once the lines died down to just below Chik-fil-A length and made 3 visits. I've read that some like the customer service; for me, a sweaty (they are taking your order while you are in line, so the server is outside) teenager asking me what my plans are for the day as if her life depends upon the answer is just too much make believe. After you place your order for what is, after all, just another beverage, you get to choose how much to tip the kid on their little tablet while they watch. Fun for everyone. Not. You never see the price of your drink unless you check your credit card statement later. The coffee is, well, coffee. Reminds me of Beck's, actually. Meh. The fancy drinks are made with the same sugary syrups everyone uses. Spare yourself the dreadful prepackaged muffin atrocities. There are tatier ways to go into a diabetic coma. If you want to drive too far (depending where you are) for a beverage, take advantage of the many excellent, independent cafes LC is lucky enough to have. If you want a quick, delicious coffee or latte, to to Corner Bakery or MacDonald's; smooth, dependable coffee with no bitterness or Stepford-style faux friendliness. One last thing: why did I see only white kids working there all three times I went? No photos. It's drinks. They look...
Read moreCoffee was good however service was horrible. We pick up Starbucks on a daily basis (order through mobile pickup) and I wanted to try Dutch bros with the intent of switching coffee shops as the location is more convenient on workdays. We usually order coffee for pickup at Starbucks to minimize wait time but itâs a bit out of the way. We did a mobile pickup order with Duch Bros but once we got there (13min after the expected ready time) we were told our order was not ready. No problem considering they were busy. However we saw that all the people in front of us had gotten their orders and then we saw 2 customers place their orders at the window and get their orders before us. We waited about ~20min and realized if we didnât say anything we would not get our coffee. Once my boyfriend asked the girl at the window why our order wasnât coming out she realize our coffees had been sitting on the counter for some time already. If you like the convenience that Starbucks offers with mobile pickup then DO NOT stop at Dutch Bros as they make the orders...
