Update - Two weeks later…
Decided we’d give Panda another chance, big mistake. Turned into the driveway and some fool is parked across both incoming and outgoing lanes apparently wanting to enter the drive through. So backing out onto an active traffic lane was necessary to then detour through the Walmart parking lot to Pandas other entrance where I find three more vehicles waiting for the drive through. One was on the left of the drive, the second was diagonally across both lanes of traffic and the third was all the way over to the right blocking anyone from leaving from the adjacent parking spaces. I pulled in against the left curb which is in alignment with the drive through entrance and shut my engine off as no-one was moving and why waste the gas. Shortly a large grey pickup pulls in behind me but again all the way over to the right further blocking the driveway. Eventually the grey pickup behind me leaves as there are plenty of other food opportunities in the area. The vehicle that was parked across both incoming and outgoing traffic also leaves, so thats two customers lost. Another big pickup with a very short male driver pulls in behind me but in the middle of both lanes essentially blocking all traffic movement even further. Another vehicle pulls into Panda but almost immediately leaves due to the number of cars backed up waiting. Somewhere up ahead the line moved so I started my engine but apparently I wasn’t moving quickly enough for the short guy in the big pickup truck as he decided to pass me by. I got out of my car and asked him what he thought he was doing only to be met by a barrage of swearing etc. I’m guessing the short male driver of the big pickup truck has a commonly acquired issue in today’s world, something to do with a certain male appendage…
So after sitting in this non moving line of vehicles and getting passed by the short male driver I too decided to leave Panda for something else. That makes four lost customers in perhaps twenty minutes. One of two possibilities, or maybe both. Whomever is taking orders needs to speed it up and/or the cooks need to move faster…
Whatever the case we’re done with this Panda, theres another one down on University which is more than likley faster, it looks a lot newer and...
Read moreMy wife and I have lived in Las Cruces for going on three years, and have visited Panda Express fairly frequently…
It seems over the past six months both the service as well as food quality have deteriorated. Perhaps it’s due to a new crew of employees, I’m not sure…
We typically will order a two entree plate and a bowl along with a half dozen egg rolls. Every single time I’ll have to explain that a half dozen is the same as six, possibly they don’t teach this in schools nowadays. This last visit was our usual order to go as we’d just come from the hospital and neither of us wanted to cook we just wanted to go home and eat. Upon arriving home we discovered that Pandas receipt terminology for six egg rolls is “1 large entree”. Nothing to indicate a half dozen let alone a quantity of six…
So my wife had the one solitary egg roll Panda had put in the bag while I called them to explain our situation twice to two separate employees. Not wanting to make the drive back to Panda I decided I’d go after the missing egg rolls the next day. Later that evening my wife developed a craving for egg rolls so I volunteered to rescue our missing egg rolls. The drive through was devoid of cars so I elected to go that route rather than going into the restaurant. Had to wait as the woman on the other end had something more important to attend to than drive through customers. When I got to the pick up window I was told by a young man to drive around front and they’d have them right out. Twenty minutes later the missing egg rolls arrived…
Summarizing this we’re constantly waiting for our food, shorted items, missing sauces that should be there, no fortune cookies. Perhaps it’s time to find a new Chinese restaurant or increase our visits to Tacos...
Read moreMy husband and I go here because it is close to our house. We get ripped off of our food if we go through the drive through so we go in. Everytime we have gone there the employees especially at the drive through are so rude and aggressive we leave feeling angry and upset. Every single time. The last drive through experience the girl's name was Gaby. She snatched my debit card out of my hand, opened the window to hand it to me and couldn't even wait two seconds for me to put my card in my purse before she shoved and I mean shoved food in my face and dropped it on my lap. She didn't say thank you or apologize or ask if i needed sauces? No. She slammed the window shut. I sat there for a minute and watched her talk to her coworkers even though she made eye contact with me several times and FINALLY she opened the window and said "WHAT?" I said I needed some sauces and she rolled her eyes. ROLLED HER EYES! I just drove away I was so upset. This is just ONE of the horror stories of the employees here. And we always came back thinking it was just someone having a bad day or it was just one employee but its not. Every once in awhile you'll get a polite one that's in a good mood but we avoid this place at all costs now. My husband and I don't make a big deal about the small stuff because we understand everyone has bad days and I sat on posting this for a couple of months because small inconveniences don't call for a business to get complaints or low ratings but this is not small inconveniences it is a huge problem and has been for a long time. Especially ripping people off on portions in the drive through. Corporate needs to clean house at this location and retrain their employees or...
