Chikiliquis Taco Stand — Restaurant in Las Vegas

After moving from Southern California it was difficult to find an authentic taco shop. We started frequenting Chikiliquis for the past eight months and really enjoyed the food, especially the rolled tacos….it was the next best thing.

Last night, we placed an order for 3- 5 rolled tacos and a carne asada burrito. We were bragging to my brother in law how light, crispy and generously they fill the rolled tacos with shredded beef, almost like a flauta.

It was VERY disappointing…..I am not exaggerating when I state there was maybe a teaspoon of shredded beef in each taco! There were areas when you’d take a bite and the center was hollow not because you pulled the shredded beef out but because there simply wasn’t any meat! We were basically eating a lightly fried rolled tortilla with guacamole and cheese. The ends were crispy but the rest was quite soft, not crispy as they were in the past.

I’m not quite sure what happened to the original rolled taco recipe but I do know it is not good business practice to sell tacos made this way with barely any meat. The carne asada burrito was tasty.

I wish I would’ve taken photos but didn’t think about writing a review. Needless to say we will no longer patronize...

Okay, wow! The two guys working in there were super nice and helpful as it was our first time. We tried out the carne asada taco, it was awesome! The California burrito with carne asada was also very tasty. My youngest got a chicken quesadilla (he's a bit picky), it was huge and he loved it. I ordered a shrimp taco and a diablo shrimp taco, they were both so freaking good, I can't tell you which one was better! We ordered a horchada, it was also better than most I've tried. The serving sizes were pretty good for the price. If you like Mexican food, you won't be disappointed going here. I'll be going back often! We've been back several times since. My favorite thing is their diablo taco. The taco by itself is the boss, carne asada with bacon 😀 The three together are the diablo...

This is my FAVORITE taco shop !!! Their food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! my favorite things are there El pastor tacos and quesadillas and their shrimp tacos !!!! They have handmade tortillas that give your food a great authentic taste !! And I'm in love with then .. I come here nearly everyday for my lunch cuz I work close by .. the people that work there are the most nicest ppl too and will always take care of you and serve you with a smile , my orders are always spot on ! .. anytime my friends and family want some quick Mexican food I ALWAY tell them to go here ... And anytime my patients at work ask about this place and if it's any good I ALWAYS tell them YES !!...
