Santa Fe Lanes is supposed to be the most convenient location for me to be bowl at. The reason is not is the availability is inaccurate on their website, and their staff is unable to provide honest information.
I have always been the type to call ahead of time because previous bowling alleys I have been to didn't have that information readily available, but with the information seemingly available on the "Events Calendar" tab on their website; I decided not to call ahead a couple of times. Attached is the information from the "Events Calendar" tab that I referenced. Before leaving my house today, I checked this website and called the bowling alley to find out THE INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE WAS WRONG AGAIN! Each time I have gone without calling ahead and going solely based on the information on the website, the information on the website has been wrong. I know that the information on the website is updated because I can no longer see the information for past weeks, but some how it is still inaccurate. There were also times when I had checked the website and called ahead, but when I arrived, an employee would tell me that there wouldn't be lanes available till the next day due to the event that was supposed to already be over according to the website and word-of-mouth.
As a customer that always goes to this location before any other, it is frustrating to constantly deal with conflicting information. I waste time and gas commuting to Santa Fe Lanes, and I see so many families looking for a good time being turned away because of misinformation from staff and the website. I know I am not alone in this frustration because I have spoken about this availability issue with customers in the pro shop, the families who have been turned away in the same fashion I was, and through other bowling friends.
The actual bowling is a different story. There is an issue with being assigned to a lane immediately after a party is leaving, without giving other staff members in the facility a chance to clean up any messes left behind. Another variation of this is that the area isn't cleaned point blank period. The worst experience I had with this was when there was beer spilled under my table with a different alcohol on the table from a previous party, and the bottom of my friend's personal sliding shoe was soaked in beer.
With the construction that has taken/is still taking place, I will say that the pins don't fall immediately after being set anymore, and the machine's aren't as slow but the overall bowling experience still isn't improving for me because of all of the other persisting issues. I hope Santa Fe Lanes does better because these issues are unacceptable. Why should there be a...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars, I would. I’ve been coming here since I was in middle school and this is so disappointing. Tonight, my husband and our friends came to bowl after they got off work. We chose here because it’s close to us and they close at 1 am, which means registers close at 12 am. We get there 11:30 pm, wait in line until 11:45 pm as they were handling previous guests. And once it’s our turn we are told they can only sell us 30 minutes, even though they close at 1 am. The boy explains to us that because registers close at 12 am, he’s only allowed to sell us 30 minutes of play time. We point out that on the website and on the screen directly behind him they CLOSE at 1 am so could we buy time until then and he ensures he can only sell us 30 minutes. 30 minutes + 3 shoes was $41. We should’ve left, but instead we get our lane and the lane that was given to us was not working right. Balls staying stuck & not returning. Pins not being cleaned up by the machine. Continuously asking for help and waiting 15 minutes until they move us to a new lane. Mind you, they did NOT grant us the full 30 minutes we PAID FOR, after they were rude and not fixing the lane we were on/taking as long as they did to move us to a lane that works. We were told we would not be refunded or replenished for the missed time. As a Vegas born and raised local who’s been coming to this casino since I was a child, do not bowl here. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Vegas...
Read moreWe will not be returning to bowl here! My fiancé and I wanted a date night last night and chose bowling at the Sante Fe because it was closer than Red Rock. The only bright side was the bartender who was amazing and friendly and happy. The individuals who ran the bowling counter were rude—upon first getting there, the attendant did not look up for a solid 60 seconds or acknowledge us after we said hello. When he did, he was short and clearly did not want to assist. We asked for two games and it was already expensive for lanes that weren’t grand for the price. Everything felt unclean with the lanes and balls. When we finished the first game and went to the counter because we thought we had purchased two games and he informed me that we did not, though we paid $36 to bowl and $14 for shoes…so we were going to finish our drinks and then walk the casino. Within 3 minutes of going back to our table, we had someone ask if we were still playing because they assigned a new person our previous lane (directly after I left the counter) when there were atleast 20 empty lanes all around and it felt very “get up and leave already.” My fiancé and I are normally very easy going, polite and understand when places are busy but they were not yet at the time we bowled. We will not be returning for anything outside of a possible drink before moving on to the casino or movie theater at this location again due to the rudeness from the...
