Golden China (Buffalo) — Restaurant in Las Vegas

What a horrible service on February 26, 2017 on a Sunday afternoon between 4:25-4:50 pm. I came in with my 84 year old mother and she is on a 4 wheel walker. There are these two employees, a young asian male with glasses and a young asian female who are eating on the front table facing the kitchen. They did not say hello and they continue eating. They did not hand out a menu to me and my mother and they just continue eating like we are not there. I took the menu from the front desk and these two employees just continue to talk in Chinese while they were eating. I have to say "We are ready to order" before the male employee got up and he looks upset that he has to take our order because we bother him while he was eating with the female employee. The female employee got up from eating when the phone rang and answer it. While we are waiting for our order the two employees are talking in Chinese with the cook in the kitchen in a very loud manner. When the female employee present us our To Go Order and my mother pays for her order, she was given a very old one dollar bill that is almost torn in half. She didn't like the old dollar bill and asked for another one. Then, when i pay for my order, this young asian female gave me the very same old dollar bill that she gave my mother and i said i need a new one dollar bill. While she was opening the cash register to make the exchange she said something in Chinese to her co-employee that she was eating with and he looked at me and the cook looked at me as well. I got suspicious because she might be calling me and my mother in some dirty and foul language in Chinese. I told her "Did you say something to me and my mother in Chinese?" She didn't said a word and the male employee just said "No". I spent $23.00 for my order and my mother spent $26.00 for her order for a total of $49.00 and we were abused by this two young employees in their mid 20's. Should me and my mother forgive them because they were young and may not know what they were doing? If that is the case, who hired them? If that is the case, how come they are still working in a restaurant in which service to customer is very important ? These two employees may hate working on a Sunday afternoon and it showed in their lack of discipline and service. Me and my mother will not come back to this Golden China Chinese Cuisine located at 1750 N. Buffalo Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89128. I will also tell my sister and my co-employees who frequent this restaurant about the VERY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE I HAD HERE. This was my first time trying and I ordered from Uber Eats to deliver. I love General Tso's Chicken and was craving it , so I looked on Yelp to find some that had good recommendations. Unfortunately it seems many places have kind of gone away from it. Anyway , I got a good portion of both the General Tso's Chicken and Fried Rice with it.

It had some pieces of pineapple in it which I like , some places don't have it in theirs. I asked for it to be more spicy and it was , but not like too spicy. It had green peppers and carrots and some other peppers too. It was okay , not great , but not bad either. It's hard to find really good General Tso's like I used to. I ate half that night and the other half the next day for lunch , so portion size was good for me. The fried rice was pretty standard.

Since I didn't go to the restaurant myself I can't rate the service or the restaurant itself. I don't usually order from Uber Eats or such , but this was an exception. I hate to give it a 3 , but it was just very average. It could've been a little sweeter and more seasoned. I called last weekend to place a order for 7 party trays for my parent’s 30th anniversary. I ordered sesame chicken, combination fried rice, spicy wings, beef pepper steak, chicken chow main, egg rolls, and beef broccoli. The waiter on the phone was so professional and patient. He answered all my questions and kindly addressed all my special requests. At the date of the anniversary, the employee called to confirm my orders beforehand to make sure everything went smoothly. The driver delivered my food very quickly and helped me carry them in. The food was fresh and delicious, like usual. I am very glad that this place existed in our neighborhood, not only their food is awesome, but they also pay attention to every little detail, very very impressive.
