Wish I would have checked the reviews before I went, someone recommended me this place(come to find out they only ever order take out, never dine in) and when me and my family got there and waited at the front(place was dead besides 2 tables) when someone came to the front and asked me something, I don’t know what they said the music was WAY to loud. We got seated and my son had to use the restroom, the woman asked what we wanted right as we got sat(didn’t even open the menu yet) and I said give us a minute please we are waiting for my son in the bathroom. 45 seconds later she came back(he still wasn’t back from the restroom) and she said “ok what do you want” again I could barely hear because of the music. I said we will start with 4 waters and 2 Paradise Rum Punch. She scoffed and left the table like she was annoyed we didn’t have our whole food order and drink order ready in 3 seconds of sitting down. She brought out, 4, BOTTLES OF WATER, nestle water bottles. I didn’t think anything of it at first but then another family came in, got greeted, seated, and 4 ice waters with lemon within the matter of 2 minutes(they were Jamaican as well). The lady came a third time and was like “ok what do you want now” annoyed that we haven’t ordered yet. I went and got my son from the restroom and we left, then and there. I wish I would have got to try the food, but the service, music, and feeling of being unwanted in their establishment made it hard to power through. Ended up coming to my favorite restaurant in town just...

Honest review!!! I’ve been living in Vegas for two years now! I’ve been eating out everywhere trying to find some home cooking, like grandmas home cooking! This place is as close To it as possible! The oxtails is the best I’ve ever had!! (Don’t tell my Jamaican grandmother) lol I’m not a fan of the jerk chicken at all. The curry goat was good, no complaints. Curry chicken was decent. The beef patties were not the authentic taste that true Jamaicans look for. Seem more commercial But they are tasty. Let’s just say... for the rum cake, you will get your money’s worth! I felt tipsy after 2 bites!! Very potent! Not a bad thing at all! Just too strong for me. The cabbage is good. Rice was decent. Overall, this is my go to restaurant when we want to treat ourselves. Again, you must try to oxtails!

I don’t want to say anything negative about to beautiful women running the place. Reminds me a lot of my family. I really felt at home. They were extremely nice to me. However, I would suggest hiring a niece or nephew. Someone in the family that’s very personable to fun the cashier/ front office.

Just seems like a popular place that gets very busy. Especially with Uber eats/ DoorDash/ ect. Cancellations and what not. It’s frustrating. I get it. But customers don’t see that. They just want to come in ans feel as welcomed as I did.

Random: Windy City beefs is great city Chicago food! Cheap beer, great pizza puffs, yummy Italian beefs and polishes. It’s in Henderson but worth the drive.

Famous Dave’s has some...

This was one of the most inconvenient, disrespectful, trifling interactions I’ve had trying to patronize an establishment. I placed an online order for escovitche Fish. The order was confirmed for pickup at 11:30 am. I arrived to the restaurant at that time to pick up. There was no hostess or Cashier. So, the cook came from the back and advised me that they have no fish. I told her this shouldn’t have been purchasable online if it wasn’t in inventory and that I drive 20 miles to patronize their business. I do not eat chicken, pork or beef. So, a substitution was not possible. I asked why wasn’t the order cancelled and refunded. She stated that the cashier didn’t arrive until 1 pm. So, I left and went to Tasty Island where I should have gone in the first place. I called to confirm my refund was complete before contacting Amex to have them charge it back and the Cashier was extremely rude, belligerent and ignorant; telling me that I should have called to see if they had fish before ordering it. When I replied that most establishments don’t allow the purchase of out of stock items and calling first isn’t normal practice as a customer she retorted that since I’m so smart why am I calling her and hung up in my face. I’m part of a large West Indian demographic that they would have easily earned as loyal customers. However, after this experience we will never patronize this bootleg establishment and will also formalize a complaint with...

I had the Oxtail dinner and after reading the reviews I was excited to try them out. Unfortunately, the food while it looked delicious and was piping hot, was lacking flavor just like their staff lacked customer service skills. We ordered online and were given a pickup time and then the time was extended by 30 min so we had to wait longer than anticipated. No biggie. We got there and when we walked in there was no greeting. The lady just stared at us as if we weren't welcomed there. We told her we had ordered online and she literally rolled her eyes and huffed! Like were we not supposed to order online? The website says to order online so we were confused. She wasn't welcoming nor friendly and made us feel as if we were and intrusion to their business and not the reason for them having a business in the first place. I can not reiterate this enough "Customer service matters!" Leave your attitude at the door! Bland food and even more bland customer service. We tipped and everything. I wish I hadn't after the way we were treated. I had planned on going back and getting the curry goat but after that initial experience I decided against it. I really wanted to give them a positive review as I love going out of town and supporting locally owned black businesses. Unfortunately this was my experience. Oh, the place is dingey so just get take out if you wanna gamble with them.

We didn’t get to eat. We were in the area looking for something to eat while my oldest son finished playing at Spy Ninja. I was carrying my little one who is 3yrs and about 45lbs because we left his shoes at Spy Ninja. Walking in the place was empty accept for one table of ppl. When the lady comes from the back, she has someone’s order and proceeds to ring them up, without acknowledging our presence. I continue standing, looking at the menu, while still holding my very heavy toddler. Eventually I ask her if it’s okay if we have a seat at one of the tables. She asks me if we’re dining in or taking out. I tell her we’re taking it out, but i’d like to have a seat while we order and wait. She tells me i can sit in a chair that is right next to the people who are dining in. The place was empty. Literally one party of people dining in and they were sitting near the door. And instead of allowing me to have a seat at one of the SEVERAL empty tables, you tell me to sit in a single chair right between the door and the party of people? Make that make sense. Nope, we left immediately. I don’t need to spend my hard earned money at an establishment that shows so little care or respect for their patrons. And if this is how you treat me with regards to a seat, I definitely don’t want you preparing my food.

So, we came here to celebrate my mom’s birthdate. Upon entry, we were immediately greeted. Our party size was 10, including a little human. We were quickly seated and then helped once our entire party arrived. There were unfortunately a lot of disappointments with this visit such as the oxtail entree running out (one of our guest couldn’t order this), there only being one veggie patty remaining, and completely no seafood options as advertised on the menu (three of our guest with the inclusion of myself had our heart set on the snapper). Then, the drinks were advertised by the waiter as though they were authentic Jamaican drinks, however, these were predominantly store bought drinks that could be bought anywhere rather than drinks made in house or at a Caribbean store. I ended up ordering the jerk chicken which was good and spicy, however, the rice and cabbage wasn’t anything spectacular or truly memorable. Overall, I left here disappointed. The service here was just okay. They seemed to only have two workers for the entire restaurant. We also wished they would have led with all dishes that were not available, when asked.
