It greets customers with an aromatic hint of Korean spices and flavors, creating an ambiance that is both inviting and immersive. The bulgogi lunch plate is a quintessential Korean classic, a masterclass in balance and precision. The tender marinated beef, grilled perfectly, embodies the sweet and savory notes that make bulgogi a beloved dish. Paired with thoughtfully chosen side dishes, it transforms each lunch plate into a complete and satisfying culinary experience. I tried the kimchi fried rice with a fried egg, which was pleasantly surprising. Every bite was an explosion of flavors, and the rice had the perfect texture. The kimchi added a nice tangy kick to the dish, and the fried egg was cooked just right with a runny yolk, making the rice even more delicious. Overall, it was a great lunch.
Samee Side Dishes' dedication to authenticity and quality is evident in its air-tight kimchi, fishcakes, and potato salad containers. The kimchi captures the essence of this Korean staple with its vibrant crunch and robust fermentation. The fishcakes showcase a commitment to providing an array of flavors, while the potato salad is creamy and well-seasoned, complementing the boldness of other dishes.
The warmth and hospitality that emanate from Samee Side Dishes set it apart from other Korean restaurants. The Korean cashier at the counter is sweet and amiable, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. Her genuine kindness transforms Samee Side Dishes from a culinary destination to a neighborhood treasure. The proximity, coupled with the natural warmth of the staff, makes it a go-to spot for takeout, creating a sense of familiarity and community that is truly special.
In conclusion, Samee Side Dishes is a gem in Korean cuisine, where culinary artistry meets genuine hospitality. The meticulous preparation of dishes, the authenticity of flavors, and the warmth of the staff make it a 5-star destination. Read moreWalked in, and was greeted with a warm welcome right away! Nice sit down area, very neat and clean with cute decorations. Everything on the menu looked and sounded so delicious, but as a first timer, I decided to go with the Korean Box Galbi Short Ribs which comes with miso soup and salad on the side. I ordered to-go, and decided to browse their drinks. I also decided to go with a Vietnamese Coffee in a can to go. It did not take that long for my order to be ready, in less than 10mins! Nicely packed and as I was grabbing my order, the lady owner walked around and generously offered me a Poke Salmon Sushi wrapped in tofu beds to go! So nice, i was so happy and excited to try them! Overall, food was delicious! Galbi Ribs were perfectly done and tender. The banchan sides (kimchi, fish cake, spinach) complimented the whole meal. Salad came as shredded cabbage, with a toasty sesame dressing drizzled nicely! Miso soup stayed nice and hot, and was delicious! Poke Salmon Sushi Tofu beds were fire! I would definitely come back and try their Sushi Box next time! So glad I found this gem just down the street from my house! Thank you for this...

It is a quaint little place (so I wasn't too clear if there was a specified dining area), but we were greeted warmly & after placing our to-go order, the front area of the place has various banchan dishes & food that you can browse through while waiting for your order.
I tried the beef bulgogi gimbap & tuna gimpap & they were both delicious as they were freshly made (I lean toward the tuna a little more). I will definitely be buying food from here again, so please check out this little Korean...
