You know those places that aren't trying to reinvent the wheel, but somehow they just do the classics better than anyone else? This is that taco spot. While it might not have the flashy, gourmet menu of some trendy eateries, it has perfected the art of the simple, delicious, and satisfying taco. It's a hugely popular spot in a city full of taco joints, and for good reason.

What immediately stands out is the consistency. Every time I visit, the tacos are exactly what I've come to expect: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The tortillas are a highlight—soft, warm, and with a light char that makes all the difference. The meats are always cooked to perfection, whether you go for the classic carne asada, the tender carnitas, or the perfectly seasoned al pastor. They don't try to be overly fancy with their ingredients, but every component, from the finely diced onions to the fresh cilantro, is of high quality.

The simplicity is what makes it so good. They focus on a small, core menu and execute it flawlessly. You won't find 20 different kinds of tacos, but the ones they do have are absolute staples. Their salsa bar is another reason they stand out. It's clean, well-stocked, and offers a range of heat levels, from a mild avocado salsa to a fiery habanero option that will make you sweat in the best way.

Service is always quick and efficient, which is crucial for a place this busy. The staff works like a well-oiled machine, getting your order out fast without compromising on quality. The atmosphere is bustling and lively, with the sound of sizzling grills and happy customers—it feels like a genuine community hub.

While other taco places in town might have a wider menu or a "cooler" aesthetic, this place wins on the fundamentals. They've earned their popularity by delivering a consistently excellent product without any pretense. If you're tired of mediocre tacos and just want a simple, fantastic meal that won't disappoint, this is the place to be. It's proof that sometimes, the best tacos are the ones that are...

We chose this place because it was close to our hotel and one in our group had not had decent tacos in some time. So we figured we would give them a try.

It's obvious that it was a 50's style diner before it became a taqueria. I was told by a friend what the name was before but I have forgotten now.

My wife and her sister ordered tacos, my mother ordered a burrito, and I ordered a Cuban Sandwich.

To be fair, I only tasted the Cuban when normally I would steal a bite from everyone to get a better sense of the food.

The sandwich was fine, nothing I would order again. The meats were battered and fried nicely and the produce was fresh. The sliced hotdog on the sandwich could have been grilled more as they were cold on the sandwich and had no grill marks. It was as if they took a room temp hotdog sliced it in pieces and placed it in the sandwich.

My advice with the hotdog, slice them lengthwise and get a better grill on them, they will come out hotter and much tastier with a bit of crispness to them.

I ordered two bottles of Coke but could only get one as they sold the only other bottle of Coke that was in the cooler. Very disappointing. Advice: Stock the beverage cooler for the lunch crowd. Maybe have a system that the closing shift stocks up so the beverages are cold and ready for the next day.

Asking around the table, everyone seemed to enjoy their food overall. I would give them another try but I would order tacos and/or a burrito.

The service was fine, not much to it. You order and the counter, they call your name when it's ready, and you pick up from the designated area.

They had all COVID protocols in place; must wear a mask, hand sanitizer as you walk in and every other table blocked for use for proper distancing.

If you like my reviews, hit the thumbs up...

So, my family and I are from Cleveland, visiting Vegas and we passed this taco spot on the way to our hotel from the airport. On our way back to the airport, at about 10:00 am, I suggested that we make a pit stop and get tacos from Taqueria Casa Del Sabor. Our cab driver said that the area is a “rough neighborhood” and heavily advised against us going. But, unfortunately, I convinced everyone to go anyways. We arrived and as soon as our cab driver stopped his vehicle to let us out, a male immediately ran up to our cab before we opened the door. It was very apparent to me that the man was up to no good, as soon as he approached our vehicle. He seemed to be mouthing words to us, pretending not to be able to speak and coerce us into opening the door. He attempted to open the cab door for my mother and was successful with her help. Luckily I was sitting next to her and forced her to shut the door. My mother is a kind person, always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. With that being said ;she is smart, but not so street smart. She thought the man was in need of something, so she tried to help. After making sure of our safety and departing this taco place, our amazing cab driver took us to a better part of town to get food. At first, I was sad that I didn’t get to try ‘the best tacos in Vegas.’ Now, I’m grateful that my decision to go to this place against our cab drivers advice didn’t cost my mom, dad, brother or our cab driver’s life. I’m posting this for other tourists that may want to check this area out. BE CAREFUL! Our cab driver stated that the male who approached our car had 3 other guys waiting at a distance from him. Our driver is confident that these people in the ‘rough neighborhoods’ will rob people at anytime with anyone around. Not all cab drivers are this wonderful! I wish that I could remember his name, but he was a kind and gentle, middle aged Hispanic man. Moral of the story: Listen to your cab driver, (to your discretion) and be mindful of the places you travel...

Best tacos in Las Vegas they say? ABSOLUTELY!!! I Moved to the Vegas area a few months ago from the southern California area and it's been hard finding decent tacos. I had driven by this place a few times and finally stopped by one day. I was sceptical as the other places nearby just weren't hitting the spot. Boy was I surprised... They serve tacos with meat only, then it's up to you to add condiments (onion & cilantro, pickled carrots and jalapenos) and salsa. They have a condiment and salsa bar for you to serve yourself as much or as little as you want. The meat was super tasty!!! I had the following: Carnitas, Chorizo, Birria, Al Pastor, Buche and Lengua. I also tried their Quesabirria which was delicious! (quesadilla with birria meat inside) Another issue was finding good Aguas Frescas (Fresh Juices). They seem to make their waters fresh every day with Horchata and Jamaica always available and other options vary like lemon/limeade, Tamarindo and others. Juices always taste fresh and authentic. The service here is great! Tacos were made fresh and everyone seemed to have a smile on their face while working. I have since taken family every time they come to visit and have it at least once a week now. I have also sent people in town for trade shows and they love it! Hands down best taco spot around!

I cannot stress this enough, I absolutely love the food here. We came on a weekday thinking it would be a lot slower but we were definitely wrong. This place was beyond packed, but the line went smoothly and the employees were efficiently taking down everyone’s orders. When we got to the register the lady at the front was so kind and helpful, which made the process run very smoothly. We waited maybe 10-15 minutes for our food to arrive and it included all of the extra toppings like salsas, limes, and a bag mixed with onion/cilantro. My husband and I ordered Al Pastor Tacos x3, Birria Taco with cheese, Chicken Taco, and a side of Carne Asada Fries. All of the meats were perfectly seasoned, cooked very well, and they did not skimp on the servings. Their freshly made salsas were packed with flavor and had a good amount of spice to them. One of my favorite things I ate that day, were the Carne Asade Fries. The fries were very crispy, the meat was so tender, and the toppings were generously layered on top. This will definitely be my go-to Mexican spot when I’m on this side of town.
