La Bahia Centro América Restaurant — Restaurant in Las Vegas

I love and appreciate Nicaraguan food very much. Whenever I have the chance to visit a city in North America, I always search for Nicaraguan restaurants. That said, this is my true opinion and experience for this property.

The service was great, very friendly staff and even though i chose not to eat inside the restaurant, I had no doubt that the service was going to be superlative.

Bahia, disappointed me in so many ways about the food I purchased. I ordered a chicken fritanga instead of the steak. I wasn’t in the mood to eat red meat. Chicken was the same price as the steak, not sure why but ok. Their gallo pinto was terrible, if not the worst I’ve ever tried, it tasted old and preheated. Dry and old fried plantains, their chicken was ok, but they can’t go wrong with a piece of chicken. Their queso frito (fried cheese) was ok as well. Overall, terrible and expensive. I ended up paying $23 plus $1.35 if you payed with card.

This place was incredible and had authentic Nicaraguense food. There was a business meeting when I was there and hearing all the issue between the owner and the marketing guy I think was a turn off, but the meal was good. It would have been a better experience without the chatter, but I still enjoyed my meal. Authentic gallopinto, the maduro was large and the fried cheese was bomb. Keep up the good work and if you guys have business meetings inside make sure there are no clients. I would def return since the food was good. My husband and I went there because I love Nicaraguan food. I had the Madura con crema y frijol. The plantains were delicious and not overcooked or overly sweet. The beans were absolutely delicious. I also had the Queso frito even though I don't normally eat cheese, but this was delicious. We went at an off time (around 2 or 3 pm) and they immediately brought us out chips and salsa, which was amazing. No boring, flavorless salsa.
