Yesterday was the last time I buy anything from Sabatinos NY Pizzeria on Cheyenne. I had been a loyal customer since moving here almost a year ago. There are other choices as there are 2 other NY pizza places closer to me. Saturday afternoon I pre-ordered 2 pizzas with toppings for Sunday (Superbowl) pick up at 5 pm. Both pizzas were the Xlarge, being 20". The menu states 20" for $18.99 plus $3 for each topping. I was charged accordingly, as the bill came to $43.98 + tax. When my wife picked them up and brought them home, we noticed that the pizza boxes were 18" and of course, so were the pizzas. I called them up and spoke to 2 people there. Neither one of them apologized for the error or offered to give me a discount toward my next order. I was told by the second person that they didn't have any 20" boxes. He also said that the XLarge pizzas were always 18". I told him no, as I have ordered the 20" many times before without a problem. The 20" pizza comes in a large white box. I explained that you cannot fit a 20" pizza into an 18" box, but they didn't care. I also said the the menu stated 20", to which his reply was that they are waiting for new menus to be printed (I've heard this excuse before from other places). I said that I would go elsewhere in the future, to which he replied 'fine'. Be aware that if you order the XLarge 20" pizza, it will be 18". Is it so hard to post a sign in your store with this information, or to mention it when somebody calls in an order? I guess that they don't care about keeping a customer. I will be telling everyone that I know what happened. It's easier to keep a customer than to...
Read moreOverall, my experience at Sabatino‘s was very good. When I arrived, there was nobody else in the store eating. As we arrived, there was no waitress, but two girls standing around one came over and asked us what we wanted to drink and said that she didn’t know who would be our waitress and she would find out. I saw her go over to the other girl at the cashier and they both started to debate who would be our waitress. Eventually, the original girl came back over and said she would be waiting for us. Being someone who worked in customer service for years at that point, someone should’ve just taken the initiative and served us immediately instead of debating on who would do it. The food was good. We got large pizza with pepperoni mushroom I would highly recommend and my girlfriend got the fettuccine Alfredo, which was amazing For the appetizer. We got the chicken strips with hot sauce and ranch, which were basic but very good overall I would recommend eating here for anyone who wants good pizza on the north side of Las Vegas, but I was a little upset with the lack of...
Read moreSabatino. Sounds like a wholesome good name. Although it could be a a name altered for better sounding purposes. Like many of the immigrants who sailed far away from their homeland,in search of the American dream. Like prospectors who lost all their worldly possessions and family ties. Surviving uninhabitable travels. Only to arrive at Ellis Island to lose their only remaining valued asset. Their family name. Coincidence or fate. Sabatino sounds like the English word, sabotage. A history compiled of unnecessary hardships and heartless gold searching. Those were the elements that sabotage the once hopeful, American dream. Reguardless of the background Sabatino is a name that has proven to be one of value. Nostalgic New York recipes that ties the taste of Old school style bread and cheese. A refined pizza that flavors the sense to dine with silverware. Whether you might be short of time, or a dollar short. The owner serves quality though Liberty the same way he provides quality service for all. Certifiably five stars. AKA- Robin...
