In the diverse culinary landscape of Las Vegas, where showiness often overshadows authenticity, Verrazano Pizza stands out as a steadfast champion of genuine culture and gastronomic integrity, after years of patronage. I have walked through its humble doors and indulged in its offerings, each visit reaffirming its status as a haven for those who appreciate the authentic taste of New York-style pizza. Regrettably, it has taken me this long to express such appreciation; the understated excellence of this establishment truly deserves recognition. Upon entering, the aromas immediately captivate the senses—a delightful blend of freshly baked dough intertwined with fragrant Italian herbs and spices. This olfactory invitation not only entices but also signals the promise of a lovely meal ahead. The ambiance, marked by simplicity and nostalgia, avoids pretentiousness, instead favoring an authentic, no-frills atmosphere reminiscent of classic neighborhood pizzerias. The culinary experience begins with the crust—an exemplary representation of the quintessential New York style: thin and pliable yet sturdy enough to hold a generous bounty of toppings. Upon close examination, it reveals a perfect balance: a delicate crispness surrounding a chewy interior that retains the integrity of the toppings while remaining easy to fold in the traditional New York manner. For those with discerning tastes, requesting it "well-done" enhances the crisp texture while maintaining its structure. The sauce, a mark of artisanal skill, is expertly seasoned—a tangy, well-balanced mixture that complements rather than overpowers. Its acidity is finely tuned, enhancing the ensemble of flavors—cheese, toppings, and crust—without becoming overwhelming. Generous layers of high-quality, melted cheese provide a delightful stringiness, meeting the expectations of an authentic American slice, stretching with every bite. The value proposition, succinctly captured in the lunchtime special, offers patrons two substantial slices of this culinary masterpiece paired with a fountain soda for just $8.99. This combination represents an incredible deal, merging quantity, quality, and affordability in a way that defies the trends of contemporary culinary pricing. These slices are hearty enough to satisfy even the most robust appetites, making this offering a staple of Las Vegas's gastronomic scene and a wise choice for those looking to enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. However, Verrazano's charm goes beyond mere sustenance. The familial atmosphere permeates the establishment—its staff radiates warmth and friendliness, elevating service to an art form. The owners are often seen behind the counter, greeting loyal patrons with genuine warmth, fostering a welcoming environment that rivals the hospitality of the most upscale venues. This personal touch makes every visit a memorable experience, and the character of the establishment is deeply rooted in its unwavering commitment to tradition, serving as a testament to the lasting power of unpretentious, authentic cuisine. Located away from the neon glow of the Strip, Verrazano Pizza serves as a true oasis of nostalgia and culinary craftsmanship. Over the years, I have explored its extensive menu—sampling sandwiches, salads, and a variety of pies, each a tribute to their dedication to excellence. Writing this review is a long-overdue acknowledgment; my perspective is shaped by years of loyal patronage and deep admiration. In conclusion, if you are seeking a flavorful, filling, and budget-friendly lunch that embodies East Coast pizzaiolo artistry within the vibrant sprawl of Las Vegas, I recommend you visit Verrazano Pizza. With this unpretentious neighborhood gem, the owners' hospitality and the quality of their food create an unforgettable experience. It's not just a pizzeria; it's a warm sanctuary, a culinary refuge, and a genuine slice of cultural heritage. Prepare to fall in love—not only with the pizza but with the remarkable people who bring it all to life.

This restaurant is located in a mini mall on the west face of Rainbow. It has a small elongated indoor dining area with about eight or nine tables. Music playing with an upbeat atmosphere. Funny stuff was playing on their TV. It took us awhile after we were seated to get our drinks. The service was very friendly. A lot of regulars were in and out as we were there. We ordered the Verrazano Pizza. They asked if we wanted it regular or a little bit crispy, and we said a bit crispy is good, and we thanked them for that opportunity. It was fantastic! The crust was perfect, and a little bit crispy, just like we ordered. It was the perfect amount of toppings on the pizza, and I do mean perfect. Some places put on way too much cheese, or not enough. This place knows exactly how much cheese to put on a pizza, and the cheese was excellent. Speaking of perfect, the sauce was also very good, along with all of the toppings. Refillable fountain drinks were available for indoor diners. We will definitely be back to try some of their other offerings. Great job, guys!

Best pizza off the Strip, a real taste of NY. Friendly service with staff who actually want to know about their customers. We were doing a pizza crawl, but we almost said forget it let's just order a whole pie & a meatball sub & spaghetti... Everything you love about NY pizza is here, from the punchy sauce to the cheese blisters, to the crust you can eat alone. We heard the owner came from NY, opened up his first ever pizza joint in Vegas & has been making the best pies for 40 years. That's all we need to know. Update: we went back our last night for a full meal -- spaghetti & meatballs, meatball sub, two slices -- at a reasonable price (40+). They're so nice. We'd come back just to see them. We haven't had good East Coast Italian in years... Thanks guys♥️

I ordered thru this sites menu. I got the ph# thru the sits and called to order a pick-up of 20 wings. It was ready when I got there. That is the best I can say about my experience. I was charged $ 5 more than the price listed. When I said something the man just rudely and abruptly states that that's not his menu. It is listed on the same site that has the pictures of the inside and outside of that location. He says it is probably the menu of the original store and refused to honor it. I ordered 20 med. Chicken wings when I called he filled it and charged me for 2 orders of chicken wings with friez. Which was not what I wanted or ordered . He should have known when I ordered it as 20 wings that it was from the site. He just thru in soggy limp fries in order to charge me the extra money. I was raised on Verrazano's. Loved it for 35 yrs. Now after the quality drop and shady practices of overcharging me for something I never ordered. I will never eat anything from there again. I'd drive the extra 7 miles to Marios Broadway Pizzaria happily first where the pizza just as good but obviously the quality is important and they can operate with higher morals...
