Honest review; we came out this place because our favorite Indian spot was closed. This place stays open until 12am which is good for late night dinners. The atmosphere even before walking in is amazing! It’s a small restaurant but nice and cozy. Service upon walking in was okay- there was a male whom did not approach the table after sitting us not even to ask if everything was good. The waiter began taking our order then disappeared, someone else came and took our order. Food: we ordered several naans, garlic, potato, and cheese. The cheese was our favorite! They all came nice and crispy and “hot”.. so it was nice to eat right away. We ordered a mango Laci which was good! If you don’t like thick smoothies I suggest to skip this one, it was nice and thick! But well balanced not overly sweet! The Chai tea came nice and hot but no manner how many sugars were added to the cup the flavor was just not there. I would not order again. We ordered three Biryani(s) Veggie Chicken Lamb The portions are good enough to share; it was six of us and we took half of each rice back. I had the lamb Biryani..for me it lacked flavor and the lamb was chewy. I could not enjoy it much so I picked around the rice and eggs. For the most part everyone enjoyed their meals until one of waitress started vacuuming so loud which I then looked at her and when asked if everything was okay I told her she was ruining the eating atmosphere with the vacuum. The owner I assume a tall lady who had previously greeted us nicely came to save the day.. we were then given complimentary desserts to I guess salvage the experience. Overall, if you are hungry and need something to eat late at night; this place is definitely opened until 12am.

Maharaja Bistro and Cafe delivered an exceptional dining experience that celebrates the rich flavors of Indian cuisine. Each dish I tried was a delightful journey for the palate. Starting with the Surti Dal (taken Togo/not photographed), it was a comforting blend of lentils cooked to perfection. The spices were well-balanced, offering a warm, earthy flavor that paired beautifully with rice. Next up was the Maharaja Special Chicken Karahi. The chicken was tender and succulent, simmered in a vibrant, aromatic gravy that was both rich and satisfying. The freshness of the herbs and spices made each bite a delight. The Dum Pukht Lamb Biryani was nothing short of extraordinary. The lamb was incredibly tender, infused with spices that had melded beautifully during the slow cooking process. Each grain of rice was perfectly fluffy, making it a standout dish. Finally, the Aloo Naan was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. Soft and pillowy, with just the right amount of potato filling, it was a delicious way to scoop up all the flavorful dishes. During my visit, I had the pleasure of being served by Anju. From the moment she approached our table, her warm smile and genuine enthusiasm set the tone for an enjoyable evening Overall, Maharaja Bistro and Cafe is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in authentic Indian flavors. The combination of quality ingredients, expert preparation, and inviting ambiance makes for an unforgettable dining experience.

my friend recommend to try this restaurant. the location was pretty close to other desi restaurants in Oakland Park near University Dr. Nice layout, a small restaurant, nice decorations, and a beautiful bathroom. I walked in and I asked do you have a highchair for the young babies? She said yes but not set up. I’m like oh so I get 10% off and I laugh. But she went and built it quickly which was impressive. we ordered three good dishes. One dish was chicken Kari, lamb curry, and chapli Kabab and she gave us Complementary mango lessi and Gulab jamun sweets. Nice Punjabi lady from New Jersey. They are in the process of renaming the business part co-owner Indian and original owner Pakistani. I believe food is more Indian style now as they use more onion and tomato when cooking according to my wife. Mango lassi is very good and gulab jamun is awesome because it was hot. chapli Kabab was very good ( definitely try it) and the presentation was very nice. the lamb curry was mid-spicy for me but was good and the naan was regular everywhere but $3.99 each. The only big naan I've seen is at Shahi restaurant. Overall it was good the total was $92 for 6 naan, 3 dishes before tip. I shall try the Nahri next time so far Nirala Pakistani Restaurant only has the best Nahri in the city according to my wife and mother-in-law.

★★★★★ Exceptional dining experience at Maharaja Bistro & Cafe!

My recent visit to Maharaja Bistro & Cafe was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel like honored guests rather than just customers. The food was phenomenal - we ordered the Lamb Biryani, which was perfectly spiced with tender, flavorful meat and aromatic basmati rice that had clearly been prepared with care and expertise. The Garlic Naan was fresh, buttery, and had just the right amount of garlic to complement our meal beautifully. But the real surprise was the Masala Shoestring Fries - what a creative and delicious twist on a classic! The spice blend was incredible and added such a unique flair to the dining experience. What truly set this restaurant apart was the exceptional service and genuine connection we felt with the staff. They were attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and clearly passionate about sharing their cuisine. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between elegant and welcoming, making it ideal for both casual dining and special occasions. The cherry on top was when they surprised us with a complimentary dessert - such a thoughtful gesture that really showed how much they care about their guests' experience. It's these little touches that transform a good meal into a memorable evening. Maharaja Bistro & Cafe has earned a permanent spot on our list of favorite restaurants. We can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic flavors, exceptional service, and a truly...

I initially placed an order online, only to receive an email 20 minutes later stating that my order was canceled by 'BeyondMenu'. I then located the number listed for the restaurant and called them directly. I was told it was best to call and place the order directly through the restaurant to avoid canceled orders and additional fees.

I then went on to place my order with the woman who answered the phone, who seemed eager and willing to assist. I placed an order for pickup and was told it would be ready in about 20 to 30 minutes. When I arrived, I was pleasantly greeted by name as I entered. I quickly noticed the cleanliness of the restaurant as well as the decor, which was aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

My order was bagged, neatly stapled, and ready to go. The woman who took my order over the phone and greeted me upon arrival (who I believe is the owner) was quite pleasant. I paid for my order and bidded her goodnight.

Once I arrived home, I immediately unpacked my order, as I was quite eager to sample everything. I ordered (1) naan, (1) garlic naan, (1) channa masala, and (1) surti dal (spice level: hot). White rice accompanied both the dal and masala. The food portions were huge, which could easily feed 4+ people and very flavorful. I've eaten Indian food many times in the past. However, this was my first time dining at this particular restaurant, and I must say, it's the best Insian cuisine by far. There is no question, I am definitely a...
