EDIT: Karla who I’m assuming is their owner doesn’t know how to take any criticism it seems all Karla does is yap in the reviews when Karla should be making an effort to make the business better. As an Ethiopian, I KNOW what makes good coffee i bet Karla didn’t even know Coffee originated in my country. It sure didn’t taste like Karla did in my friends cup! Secondly, the response was totally confusing! Karla is tryna claim that I ordered some mocha and espresso when I expressed ALL I WANTED WAS A MATCHA LATTE. The problem was purely on your employees which is OK but you need to train them to have better service because I wasn’t offered a refund for the Cashiers clear mistake all the cashier said was “oops I misheard anyways it’s the same thing.” This place is for people who like the taste of bland drinks at a the price of 10 dollars for a grande size. Ridiculous behavior Karla.
Original review:Man even Starbucks has better matcha!! Messed up my matcha order.all I wanted was a plain matcha latte super simple charged me the wrong amount and basically made me get some weird matcha mocha costing me 3 more dollars making it 9 bucks?? The drink wasn’t even the nice green matcha color it was some diluted light green so I already knew it wouldn’t taste good. Tasted wack. Also I’m pretty sure they charge for iced drinks?? Like why am I paying more for AN ICE CUBE?? Just don’t waste ur time here took them like 15 mins to make...
Read moreI can't trust reviews anymore. I tried this place for the first time and I was so disappointed. Their menu is so small and has only 3-4 options for breakfast and is expensive compared to what they serve you. My daughter ordered an egg, and cheese sandwich on a little biscuit and added a slice of bacon for $3 which tasted too bad. I ordered a quiche for $8 which was a small piece and was almost cold and tasted awful. The coffee late was almost cold, and the muffin for my son was hard and seemed old. They serve all their foods in disposable boxes and paper pockets, for the price they are charging is not fair. I have tried almost all coffee shops and their breakfasts all over the place but never had a bad experience like I had at these coffee shops and their foods. I would go back to my place Roggenart whenever I go to Savage Mill. I'm not recommending this place to anyone and I have never written a bad review like this before, but sorry I had to write this review so they know, how unsatisfied people are, and don't go by the owner's...
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem in Savage Mill - it's located at the bottom of the mill underneath a building on the side. There's a stairwell that looks like it heads to a tiny parking lot, but they are the only business down there. They have the main coffee shop and the room next to it, which has comfortable seating and Tekken! When was the last time I played Tekken! Great space for hanging out and catching up with friends.
Coffee is fantastic - I'm an Americano drinker myself, so the freshly ground beans really shine. Plus, the owners can tell you all about the beans history. I didn't think I would nerd out on coffee, but I'm glad I did. Staff is definitely knowledgeable and friendly.
The shop is vegan, but that isn't a detriment. The baked goods were delicious; do yourself a favor, if they have them, get a chocolate croissant. Try it with a Lavender Latte and you won't be disappointed.
Not only is it dog-friendly, but they encourage bringing your four-pawed friends. Definitely coming back with my furry...
