El Buen Gusto Panaderia Bakery — Restaurant in Laurel

Shoutout to our local community heroes! Today I met Stephanie and staff during the grand opening! I came late in the day, but there were so many yummies still left!! I collected cookies, bread, cakes, flan, and even a huge Spanish beef torta! Which also comes in chicken or ham! Hubby and I loved this decadent sandwich! It was filled with a variety of ingredients including steak, cheeses, beans, avocado, tomato, lettuce, onion, peppers, etc. ) We ate it before we took a picture, but it was that good! The textures and flavors complimented each ingredient! I was told that the selection is even better if I come here earlier in the morning! I saw hot coffee on the drink station and cold drinks in the cooler. The selection of baked goods made me wish that I had another tummy to try them all. Stephanie and Soli were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable! I was not as familiar with some of the types of magical bakery goodness, but all I had to do is ask and I was taken into the rabbit hole of happy sweets and treats! Very kind customer service, the pastries had a great taste/texture, and I was super happy with the tamales! I got one of the chicken tamales, kept it in the refrigerator overnight then had it cold for breakfast and it was still absolutely delicious. When I went they only had corn and chicken but I'd love to see other options. The prices here are also so reasonable - I bought a tamale, 3 churros and 2 pastries and it all came to something like $6.16. Went for thr first time this morning. I was overwhelmed looking at the pastry case, but the woman working was patient with my questions. I don't know the names of the pastries I got, just ended up asking for her favorites and pointing. Delicious. We alsogot a chicken tamale and ham sandwich. Both were very good. The sandwich was huge.
