This review is on my tarot reading experience with queen auset via zoom. Unfortunately, this felt like an interrogative berating session as opposed to an intuitive reading. I knew it would be awful when she greeted me with a monotone and jaded “how may I help you”. I asked her a simple question about my spiritual progression since I've been met with several developments in my abilities and was interested in her intuitive guidance on my growth. She began with an avalanche of questions about what I do and experience to which I did not give her details since I shouldn't have to. Then the generic answers came. Told me there was something wrong with my maternal line and sternly asked me if I got along with my mother and knew the stories of her and the women before me to which I thoroughly do and love them greatly. She was expecting me to say no but just moved on to her next off-topic question. Asked if I knew anyone named Rosa when she pulled out a rose oracle card. Told me I should be doing art (there were art supplies behind me). But I told her Im passionate about dance and she was rude when I didn't resonate with her words. She continued on with her beratement and basically told me that I wasn't doing anything right because I wasnt doing it in her Lucumi tradition standards. Even said that I was trying to be like other people on youtube and that psychic abilities don't happen for everyone and may not happen for me even when I explained to her some (not all) of my abilities that were opening thus far in my life. Never had such a disempowering experience until this reading, it was terrible. Mind you, I love constructive criticism and was not expecting a cheery rose-tinted reading of her telling me everything I wanted to hear, but this reading had a harsh tone of dismissiveness. She was condescending and belittling by way of asking me spiritual questions, taking long awkward pauses, and then responding rudely about how wrong I was because it wasnt up to her Lucumi standards (which I have no interest in practicing). I was so done with this reading when she started to put words in my mouth. When I told her of some of my automatic writing experiences and how impressed I was with the whole experience she asked me why I expected them to speak to me in an ancient language? I never said that… nor did I expect that, otherwise, I wouldn't have understood the message LOL this was such a joke. At one point she told me my face was morphing? But couldnt even describe to me what the heck it was morphing into. I can go on and on about how awful this was but in all, she most likely saw my young face and soft voice and thought I was some naive teenager that wanted to experience some sci-fi fantasy mess which is why she berated me so much and proceeded to tell me how im not going to experience anything from Hollywood movies which im thoroughly aware of. I grew up in ATR traditions and am very aware of how spiritual things happen which is usually subtle. She mostly talked about herself the whole 47 minutes and barely gave intuitive messages. I have had better readings in the past that were honest yet empowering and they didn't need to use any cards. On the other hand, I've experienced basic three-card oracle readings from beginners that were way more accurate than this one. I encourage people to let their intuition guide their life and only seek readings during desperate times because it's really a gamble with these people and you never know what you're gonna get. I only did this reading because someone surprised me and paid one for me as a sweet gift but it was truly $50...
Read moreMy first visit to this shop went well. The shop is very cramped, though, and parking is street parking. I was told I couldn't park in the lot across the street. The second visit was awful. I walked a couple blocks in the rain from the nearest open parking space, and this was on a weekday. I was in the shop only briefly when one of the clerks abruptly told me I was in the way. I got a few items and was going through the Tarot decks, looking for a particular deck. When this same clerk asked if she could help (but was obviously annoyed), she found the deck. I put back the one I was holding only for her to castigate me for putting it back in the wrong place. The decks were not in any kind of order that I could see, except perhaps in her memory. I then went to check out and was told again I was in the way. I had had enough at this point, and handed the rude clerk the items I was going to purchase. I was polite, but I'd had enough, and was concerned about the parking situation. I got back to my car and was fussed at by someone in the shop I was parked in front of, that these spaces were for HIS customers. If I had stayed any longer I probably would have been towed. It gets worse! I accidentally left my glasses in the store and called back, and they do have them. I left my name and number, and then I got a call from the rude clerk, who left a message wanting a credit card number for the items I was going to purchase. !!! Translation, you're not getting your glasses back unless you buy their stuff. I don't know what this woman's problem was with me, especially that being only the second time I was there, but this was no way to treat a customer. They need a shop with more space, better parking, and a refresher course in...
Read moreI'm so sad to write this review, but my last few visits to The Crystal Fox have been terrible and I hope that this could help improve the services here. I have been visiting The Crystal Fox for several years now, always being amazed by the amount of crystals in the store. I would always leave out with something: a crystal, bracelet, incense, sage, etc. After finding other reliable places to purchase crystals, I realized that the ones at The Crystal Fox were about 50% more than what I can find them for. Nonetheless, I still wanted to support this business so I would continue to purchase jewelry, incense, candles, tarot cards etc. The items in the store are intriguing, but the customer service will be the reason why I can't return to the store. The last several times I've been to The Crystal Fox, I have experienced the same terrible attitude and negative energy from the same person. This girl has short dark hair and is usually at the cash register. Every time I asked her a question, she would have an attitude and roll her eyes after answering my question as if i was bothering her. She has completely ruined the vibe for me during my visits, enough that I don't want to return. It's unfortunate because I loved supporting this black owned business and never minded paying a little extra for quality items, but it's not worth the negative energy and terrible attitude I get from the employees. After going to another crystal store close by, they expressed that they get a lot of customers that complain about the customer service at The Crystal Fox which confirmed that it's not only my experience, but how the employees are treating...
