Where do I begin! We attempted to patronize this establishment yesterday and let me tell you…never again! We had a party of eleven, arrived as soon as they opened, took the server 35 mins to come over only after we said something. We were told they only had enough ingredients for 1-2 charcuterie boards…how is that even possible when they just opened. We asked for water for the table and received 5 cups and a pitcher of water for 11 people. We never drunk the water bc it had gnats in it. We placed our order for wine and ordered a charcuterie board and 3 orders of Suya and jollof rice. After waiting 40 mins, only 3 people received their wine, one person sent it back bc they received about 3 table spoons of wine while other two received full glasses. Our Suya came out cold and was more of a beef jerky texture. The jollof rice screamed rice-o-roni. We did not receive utensils, after asking for them it took the server 25 mins to bring them out. We never received our charcuterie boards nor the rest of the wine and flights we ordered. If I could give zero stars I would. They had 2 people working in the entire establishment and yet we had a reservation. One of the guys left to go to the grocery store leaving 1 person to run the entire restaurant. The name is misleading as there is no vineyard in sight. Just horrible…do better. As much as I love to see our people succeed,...

Went to drop my wife and her friend off to this winery and we were beyond disappointed. Everything we saw said they opened at 1 pm on Sundays. We showed up around 1:20 pm and the place was closed. Confused I went to check to see if they may have been running late or if there was some type of sign with updated information; nothing. No lights were on, no setup was being done; literally looked like we weren’t supposed to expect them to be open. There was, however, a sign in the lawn with their hours and yes it read Sundays they open at 1 pm. I’m not sure if there’s something in the water in this area but this is the second business in the Main St area in Laurel that I’ve experienced to not honor their posted business hours. How can you expect people to support you when you aren’t open?! You might as well play roulette with your business hours....

Im absolutely disappointed but not surprised.. Ms Tina and her disposition will probably have more poor reviews going. This was a place we looked forward to supporting but after a wild few weeks of planning and then constantly changing what was required from a 500$ box of wine to 1500$ . I’m an absolutely disgusted in the experience. Your business is changing but how you treat customers will show in the future “Tia or Tina or whomever auntie is” needs to realize people are tired of their money being played with. And a few days before the event is preposterous. The attempt that was made and your ever changing requirements show poor management. You lost out on an opportunity we can definitely spend our money elsewhere.🚮 Remembering that we have a finite say in reviewing also word of mouth spreads fast! Don’t let her...

I had a wonderful time at Clyopatra Winery, the first African immigrant owned winery and vineyard in the US! The owner, Ifeoma was so friendly andnyoubcan tell she has a deep passion for wine and culture. The winery is beautifuly designed and spacious, with a cozy tasting room. I enjoyed a flight of 4 wines, each one with a distinct and delicious flavor. Clyopatra offers a variety of 6 wines. from dry to sweet, red to white, and even sparkling. The wines are paired with Ghanian chocolate (for purchase separately) which is rich and smooth and enhances the taste of the wines. The atmosphere is lively and fun, with Afrobeats playing in the background. I highly recommend Clyopatra to anyone looking for a new and exciting wine experience in Maryland. It's a hidden gem that deserves recognition and support!

The menu consists of 6 wine options ranging from deep reds to the ever popular rose. I order a flight ($35) which allowed you to choose four wines from the menu in order to get a grasp of the winescape. It was nice that you had the option to mix and match the wines based on your palate and of course I leaned more towards the white wine. At the time of my visit the only food options that were available for purchase were chocolates imported from Ghana. I’m hopeful that more food will be made available in the future.
